_If_ someone in Denmark was to arrange Epic ETC in 2017, what is needed and what is expected?

Is there a Charter like in the 40K and (now) T9A with rules for how this is setup or does one just improvise?

Like, what time of year is it expected to be held?

This is VERY EARLY feeler and information gathering post.

Sorry if questions are a bit unclear but its totally unclear at the moment what is expected if DK is hosting the EETC in 2017.

Hope you guys can give me some input and advise that I can take to the Danish Epic community.

May seems to be the normal time but isn't vital

Whatever rules/list set you use is entirely up to you - 2 have used NetEA and 1 EUK.
Last 2 have used the same scoring system but again that isn't vital.

One other thing i'd suggest it getting location and dates fixed as early as possible, so that people can organise for things like travel, hotels, time off and suchlike, as well as helping to avoid people already getting booked up for other events!

Only news I have is that we are checking costs for locations, as some of you might know Copenhagen is a very expencive city to both live in and visit :(

Scut, if there is a Scotland team. We'll almost certainly need a ringer. Maybe we can get you in on the grandparent rule? Or, you could spend the next 8 months embracing your new cultural heritage by deep frying all your meals, as your listen to the proclaimers on smack?

I think people expect a 2 day event when travling far. I guess 4-5 games over a weekend. As the name suggest it should be a team event so that aspect needs to be considered in how you organize the games/matches/scoring.
But there is no real charter you have to follow. Like Steve said different organisers have used different lists (netEA or EpicUK) and different scoring systems, mostly what's used locally in tournaments. Basically it's up to you guys how you want to do it if you organize.
It's probably a good idea to check earlier EEC threads for ideas. That's what we (Sverige) did, this year, we talked about what was good and bad from our experience of the first two events. EEC 2016, EEC 2015 and EEC 2014

I've been wanting to go to the Giant Fanatic for a few years. Wouldn't that be a good option for you guys?

We would love to do it with GF, problem is that the last 2 years no one has been sure if it will be held or if it will be cancelled up until a few weeks or a month before, this instability does that we can't use GF for the EETC event.

People need to be able to book plane and hotel well in advance and to be sure that it will not be cancelled.

Well, I will be out probably. All vacation for next year has to be booked by start of November.

When it's not possible to make the event in Denmark, we would be able to jump in and Organizer the event in Berlin instead.
