I like to see the love for Minigeddon spreading! *thumb up

Just so you are aware, we are currently updating Epic Armageddon London which will make the site not available for a couple days.
It will return bigger and better very shortly!

Meanwhile, if you need a copy of the rules pdf please find it here Minigeddon Rules

So the Easter is over and with it the tournament.

There where six participants and there where a really tight in the top where the first and second place would get to slug it out in the final round. (of three)

The top three was
1 Staffan with Tyranids
2 Jon with Ork warhord
3 Marcus with Space Marines.

The other armies was one Deff Skull, one Goff and one Steel Legion.

Hey Peta! Thanks again for a great minigeddon-tournament. Third place second year in a row feels good ^^

MrGonzo -
Gotta say that Minigeddon is an excellent way of showing new players like me the rope and build understanding of the game at a good scale.

Love this game ^_^

Thanks, Mlkr!
Very glad to hear this. In its current form it really serves two purposes, on one side a way of learning the game without being overwhelmed and an alternative for quicker and more casual games.
We are happy to hear that it works as intended. :)

Out of interest, did you play with both optional rules? *1 BTS, no retaining the initiative

Yes and we found both to be good. We do not have to much experience in Minigeddon to compare with running with retain initiative thou to tell how much difference it made to the game, but as I could tell it did not seem like there was anybody that did miss it.

Many thanks for letting us know.
Like you said, even hearing that it didn't feel restrictive or just not fun is good feedback. :)

The rule has mainly been introduced with the intention to balance the format more, though it also means that new players don't get half their army destroyed but a cunning double activation from a more experienced opponent.

I would also like to complement you in a well run tournament. My first experience of minigeddon and I'm hooked on the concept.
But next year I think my Tyranids will have to take a break (might be their bellies are full :-).
And as always I love the fact that I only ever meet nice people while playing Epic.

Both of those rules are very good additions and make the minigeddon size work better, in my opinion. In the League we're running on Vassal here in Aus at the moment most armies are fielding around 3 to 5 activations at the most with an average of 4, so retaining would mean half the army activating before the opponent.
