Hi All, I think I've been elected to organise this year's christmas megabattle, I think we're provisionally looking at the 28th of December at Slayer Gaming in Mansfield Woodhouse can anyone please register their interest here, and also feel free to suggest ideas for themes or scenarios.... cheers! possible ideas: Eldar vs Nids (Iyanden style) Imperials vs Orks (3rd war of Armageddon) bridge too far (various vs various) |

i might actually be able to make it this year, Charlotte's working that week so i should have a free pass! I'll confirm later this week, and lists wise can bring Guard, Marines, Necrons, Eldar, AMTL, or Tau. |

I'm in. Had a couple of ideas: - Convoy (aka Fury Road): 3 tables, road from narrow end to narrow end, convoy starts in middle of table 1, not a normal formation, doesn't roll to activate, can only move if friendlies are within 5cm of it, can't be damaged by either side, get at least 2/3s of it off the end of the 3rd table by end of turn X. Hostile players deploy middle of tables 2 and 3, and narrow end of table 1 in pursuit (possibly with respawning formations). Friendly players deploy along long edges of tables 2 and 3 and in the middle, surrounding convoy of table 1. 3000 points each for 6 players? No titans on table 2? - Open the Portal/"Summon the Ruinstorm": Chaos can't buy demons at the start. Each turn an objective is held by the bad guys, points of demons are added to the demon pool. Good guys have to overwhelm the bad guys and stop the ritual. - All the Nids against everyone else? - City in the middle table with the objectives, one player bunkers up on that table with defences facing forward, big blocking terrain in the centres of the gaps between the tables (protecting the flanks of the city on the middle table). Attackers on the side tables try to break through and get to the squishy flanks of the centre table. ![]() |

I'm in I reckon orks and imperials was fun, but the turn system on large battles was a bit labored. To speed things up I think each general should do an activation per side and if one general wants to retain then all have too (taking into account fails). I don''t have orks but lots of imperials. |

Depending on final numbers. Might I suggest a giant city fight. LatD entrenched in the city with SM teleports, orbital drop, LC & Thawks. Pitfiend, myself & MikeT (if he's free) can provide the LatD Imperials by KiC, CAA etc. Game would start with 3 sets of 3k LatD armies (on Overwatch) vs 3x 5k SM trying to carry out their surgical strikes. CSM/SM reinforcements can be used if the games become too one sided. Thoughts? |

Yeah I'm gonna run with it, 3x 3k latd armies defending secret objectives against 3x 4k marine armies with pods and aircraft (no titans) I'll work out a more comprehensive scenario over the weekend ![]() So fsr I have the following players: Tim Tom Mike Sam Dave T? Myself Possible Mark Kev |
