So after promising it for a couple of years now we finally got round to inviting those dastardly Devonshire lads down to our gaff for a bit of an Epic dust up this weekend! Due to some date conflicts and medical emergencies some players from both ends couldn't make it but Broken-Bayonet and Wartrader made the long drive down the A30 and we subbed in a couple of our lads to make it a light hearted team affair, with a local Evil team and and "visiting" double-evil team playing 2x 3k games with a tasty pasty lunch (done the proper Cornish way.) Team Double Evil : Broken-Bayonet : Feral Orks (EpicUK) Wartrader : Death Guard (NetEA Experimental) Fin : (Chaosy) Blood Angels (EpicUK) Dave : Tyranids (EpicUK) Team Somewhat Evil Glenn : Imperial Fists (EpicUK) Michael : Minervans (NetEA) Tom : Vior'la Tau (NetEA Developemental) Me : BT Eldar (EpicUK) Attachment: With a lot of close draws around the room, it came down to Wartrader's two crushing victories to carry the day for Team Double-Evil (shown minus Dave who had to shoot off early.) Attachment: Who win the money-can't-buy prize - their names immortalized on the Inquisitor's Golden Pasty Award. Attachment: Everyone at least told me that they'd had a good time. Hopefully this was but a trail run, and we'll get some more inter-county games in the future as well as inviting those even further away to come down next year for a bite at the pasty ! As usual I failed to take enough good photos, but i'll add some more from game in the thread below. Hopefully others will have a few to share. |

And finally from my second game against Wartrader and his NetEA experimental Death Guard : Set up : Attachment: Early Turn One, Terminators down and run into a whole heap of trouble. Looking OK at this stage for my pointy eared fellows : Attachment: End of Turn 1 : WT's forward garrisoned BTS in the city is looking surrounded with aspects on one side and the warlock closing on the other... Attachment: ...but over confidence is a s.elf's down fall, and the turn two retain by the aspects trips up on a double 1 for activation. The aspects get wiped out and the retinue BTS hang on with two stands remaining... However the warlock strides on through aiming to capture the 2 objectives on the far side while the scouts in the foreground aim to forestall the plague tower. But soon it will catch up with the titan - and flatten it ! Attachment: Near the end of the game. Eldar scatter about the board trying to break damaged chaos formations and contest objectives, but the inevitable strands of fate lead inextricably to a Chaos victory... 3-0. Attachment: Next time... Next time ![]() |

Fantastic day down down at 'the Krieg'. Many thanks to Blip and the Kernow Krew for organising a fab day of gaming, great looking scenery and top lunch of paaaaaaasties :0) Thanks to my 'good opponents' of Blip and Tom for two great games. The result of my first game vs Blip was never in doubt of a clear Eldar victory, however, in the second game (vs Tom's Tau) I was kicking myself for being only a few cm's away from taking two objectives (and victory) Darrnitt! Well done IJW for winning it for the 'evil team' However, I'm sure the 'good team' will have their revenge next year. Talking of next year...same again please chaps for Kernow Krieg 2016? Have a few photos will upload in the coming days. BB |

Glad you liked them! :-) I did say on the day, but I must reiterate I had great support with Glen and Micheal helping massively to make the day as successful as it was. And of course thanks to all the players who made both small and long journeys to come play some Epic! It's been great seeing to local epic scene grow slowly over the last 18 months or from basically me and a mate to now a viable bunch of us with more recruits on the way I believe... The success of Saturday means there will definitely be more and bigger regional events and hopefully we'll soon be going toe to toe with the big boys oop North :-) On to the siege ! |

Have been pretty much off the grid with Real Life issues since EE back in July, so only just seen this! Great work Blip & co, and next year hopefully things will be calmer for me and I'll bring a team down from the Shire and we'll mix it up with you! Cheers Daz |

Hi R ! Cool - bring it ! ;-) We had bigger plans initially to invite down a Somerset/Bristol/Wiltshire team (northerners as we call you) for a full SW Derby. In the end RL got in all our ways over the summer and so we scaled the event down to get some of the newer guys into the tournament spirit. By next year we'll be prepared for a full invasion! Hope your life has calmed down now. All the best. B/Chris |
