Potentially 12 places (4 in the national group and 8 open places) are available for the European Championship in Birmingham. Rather than go via the Epic UK Championship stats or WLD % the first 8 or 12 players to sign up (ie buy their ticket from me) will get a place in the UK teams.

Basically we'll set a cutoff date, or when we get 8 or 12 entrants and then divide the group up as best we can.

PM me if you are interested, and also if you would prefer to be on a UK team or are open to filling out over national teams.

While i'll definitely be at the Expo (i've already booked my hotel room for next year!) i'll hold off booking a place for Epic until everyone else who's wanting to take part has had a chance to sign up - i play enough systems to do something else if there's sufficient interest, and would prefer it if everyone who's not done it get's a chance to have a go!

PM already sent, I'd like to see this year's UK team reformed for next year.

Gives us all a target.

PM sent. I am also interested in coming. However, given that you potentially already have 11 + Richard, how will you handle any extras - by a form of queuing system?

As mentioned before, i'm happy to put other people first, so put me to the back of the list!

I wanted to do this via PM but I'm not allowed to PM that many recipients... Now that we have a provisional allocation of UK places, we (South) just need to check we own a suitable spread of armies to fulfil the requirements. I think it will be OK, but does the North team have any problems here?

BTW what happened to Richard's idea of de-seeding the UK team? We want to give the rest of Europe a chance, don't we? :p

I think most of the Northern contingent have at least 4 options each so shouldn't be any issues there.

Pending on who's in the teams i doubt that will be too much of a problem, and rather than a strictly north/south divide one idea would just be to see what everyone's preferred army is on the UK teams and then see if two teams could be organised without any duplicates.

I would have liked to have seen teams Yorkshire, Midlands, South and South West, but that would only happen if we didn't get enough European players and that would be a shame.

the fact that Yorkshire has yourself Tim, plus Steve and Dave doesn't have anything to do with it I'm sure..... ;)

tbh if this event runs well, I can't see why a UK regional tournament wouldn't be possible as well?
