Hey Epic people!

The Central London Wargames Club hosts London's first Epic Armageddon tournament using the Minigeddon format!

Registration for the Battle of the Thames 2013 is now open!

Image

Join in on the 3rd of November at the Escape Sports Bar!

Registration starts at 9:30am, first round at 10am.

There is a £10 charge for tickets to help us with the venue, prize support and terrain.

We have set up free pre-registration through Eventbrite - The event is limited to 20 players max, so secure your spot soon!

Now the exciting part! :)

• Format – 4 games of Minigeddon (1k armies, Minigeddon restrictions apply, all EpicUK list & NetEA Compendium lists allowed, EpicUK lists overrule NetEA)
Edit: There is a typo on our club site, it's not the NetEA Tournament Pack! Will get fixed asap

• For more details about Minigeddon and the official rules pdf visit the Epic Armageddon London site or alternatively visit the EpicUK Rules Section.

• The tournament applies the established Epic UK tournament guidelines for scoring.

• Please send in your army list before the 29th to help with a smooth start on the day. Also have 2 printed army lists with you. (one for the TO, one for your opponent)

• Rounds are 1.5h each with 30min time inbetween, 1h lunch break after round 2 which will also be used to quest for the best painted army. We'll expect to wrap up around 7pm.

• There will be trophies for the top 3, for best painted army and the infamous wooden spoon. Additional prize support to be confirmed!

For any questions please email the TO Florian Hess/MrGonzo at info@florianhess.de!

We're looking forward seeing you at the table!
Have fun and may the dice gods be with you all!

PS: We'll try to update this thread with anything we're able to come up with before the event like infos, tables, swag and banter! ;D

UPDATE:
People have asked if we use the optional rule from the Epic Armageddon London website.

'Optional Rule: if there are two or more formations that are the most expensive, then only one will count for the Break Their Spirit objective.'

We are indeed making use of it, as we feel it helps certain lists being more viable without any downsides for lists in general.
Please make sure to point out your BTS to your opponent during the 5-min warm up!

We also realised that the points adjustment for the World Eaters Bike Company and Juggernaughts are no longer needed as both formations received a point decrease with the last EpicUK codex update!
The website and the Minigeddon PDF will get adjusted accordingly!

UPDATE:
The Epic UK team just released an updated Eldar Codex and a new army codex for the Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legion!
We're are happy to allow them both for BOTT 2013 to give players a chance to try them out straight away!

UPDATE:
We are very excited and proud to announce that Steel Crown Productions will sponsor Battle of the Thames 2013 with prize support from their top-notch 6mm range!
Rumours have it that there might be some exclusive pre-releases in the pipeline!

Shame you can't make it kyussinchains, but i am sure you'll get another chance next year!
If not a complete fail we'd love to establish it as an annual event!

And with 6 players already signed up in less then 24 hours i think things are looking good :)

I've updated the minigeddon page to reflect new World Eater costs. The downloadable PDF also reflects this now.

Thanks Carlos ;)

UPDATE:
For this update we don't bore you with rules but with something special!

I am proud to present you a preview-render of the super-special prize given out to the winner of BOTT 2013!
We thought that an event themed around London needs something to reflect it so we begged our very talented 3D modeller to provide us with a custom-made objective marker (base is 60mm)!
Hope you like it as much as we do! :D
