Hi all, I've been thinking about organising an Epic gaming and hobby day (tentatively named "EpicCon") at No Mans Land, my local indie gaming store. They have five 4x4 gaming tables and a large hobby area. The idea is that it would be a community event rather than a competitive tournament: a chance to meet fellow Epic gamers, show off your models, pick up some painting tips, and play a friendly game or two (maybe try out NetEpic if you're a NetEA player, or vice versa). I'm not going to make any promises, but it's possible that I might be able to get Dan Abnett to make a guest appearance. I haven't got any firm plans or dates yet, just wondered if there would be any interest in an event of this type. |

I'd be interested tentatively. Would it be possible to get 6x4 tables? |

I'd be interested 2k games on 4x4 tables works really, really well. I'd encourage everybody to come! Some kind of tournament would perhaps generate a bigger draw, but if you want to keep things real casual than go for it! |

Hadn't really thought about the date. Obviously I would want to avoid clashing with the Epic-UK circuit. I've set up a Doodle Poll - if you're interested in coming, mark the dates you'd prefer. |

Unfortunately No Mans Land has just closed down, much to my distress. So any sort of event like this is probably off the cards for the time being. |

Sorry to hear. Would have been too far for me for a singe day, but would have expected enough others to have made it viable. |
