Still learning the rules though, so maybe it'd be best if I just lurk with a notebook and a handful of models...

Hey maddoctor, I haven't really had a chance to get involved in the escalation league which is going on in Bristol, so happy to give you a casual game to help you get to grips with things if you want?

Cheers
Reedar

Oooh, that'd be awesome!

Made my first trip to the Old Duke this eve.
Cracking little venue you've got there Stu, thanks for hosting us.

Was good to meet up with Madd0ct0r too and get a game in too. Enjoyable game with some fantastic twists in T3...

See you all in a month....

Cheers
Reedar

^what he said.

Really enjoyed myself, just got to get back before the welsh trains stop running next time :)
Fantastic (beginner) game, fantastic blokes, my hats off to all of yeh!

Especially reedar, who stoically took me through a very long beginner game, only for the grand plan to fall apart on a single die.
Note to self: Supreme Commander = good to keep alive!

Count me in. If some bits have arrived in the post in time I might try an insane marine list (3k pts?).

If the postman is late I may break out my unpainted, untested ork list.

Sweet! It's nearly time to push tiny toy soliders around again! Who's coming? We might be playing doubles if there's an even number of us...post on here to organise games with each other :-)

OR...I just found my copies of the Storm Over Gehanna Campaign (attached) maybe we could start playing that? It looks fun, and the second part has preset forces so we don't have to faff about with army lists and worrying about what list's 'work!'

I've attached the doucments

Cool beans Nat; I reckon that I might be onto something with the Gehanna Campaign: Jon, Myself and Daz all play orks: You and Stu have a guard force with some Marines thrown into the mix: if Ben wants to get involved on the Guard side then my siegers are up for grabs too; or he could even borrow my greenskins depending...

If I'm right both 'parts' of the campaign happen simutaneously so there'd be no trouble playing things side by side.
