Hi all,

I'm coming to Europe from July 21 and leaving Sept 4.
Sure i'm going over with my fiance, but i figured since i'm over here there could be a high chance of bumping into some of the local gaming places where there might be games of EA being conducted ;) The coincidences are amazing.

Where and when do you lot get together? I won't be bringing my army, too heavy and may have some explaining to do to the missus, but i figured be good to chat and watch a game or two. A few beers after maybe?
I'll be in England around July 31 to Aug 7th then Aug 28 to Sept 4th.

Alternatively, if catching up with a strange Aussie sounds intimidating, no one need apply! :)

Cheers,

Tee aka Alistair

where abouts in england?

a group of us (myself, Steve54, dptdexys, mikeT, Kev101) meet most thursday evenings at maelstrom games in Mansfield (about 35 north of Nottingham)

unfortunately it looks like the EpicUK tournaments this summer fall between your visiting periods....

@ Steve54
I looked at Britcon but its the dates of 10-12 of Aug. I plan to be in Burssels a few days earlier than that and then Cologne for the GW Games Day on the 12th...
That may be out :(
@ kyussinchains
Mansfield hey? We'll be in York and Nottingham (want to see GW HQ) sometime between end July to 7th Aug, the Thursday being 2nd August.
Looks like that could be a go-er. And i get to see the Maelstrom Games site - spent enough money there online! Do you play EA on Thursday nights?
Last question - transport wise, is train/bus an idea? taxi?

Al.

Yup we play epic :)

transport wise I normally drive from nottingham, I am happy to offer a ride if you like, I drive past GW HQ on the way, normally pick Mike up, so there should be room..... if you want to drag your fiance along, let me know and I can take the kiddie chair out ahead of time!

If you find yourself in London, there are at least a couple of places that play Epic, and who knows? if you wanted a game someone could possibly even lend you an army ;)

What places in London regularly feature EA games? I will definitely be around London during the trip.

Well, there's those of us at the Clapham Wargamers (shockingly enough playing in Clapham, South London - we play on Thursday evenings each week), and then there's the Central London Wargamers (no prizes for guessing where they play), and they play Mondays and thursdays i believe.

Likewise if you're anywhere near Stonehenge come and see us at Triple Helix - be happy to lend you an army.

There's lots of Epic players in Bristol, if you're near there (not me anymore, I've exchanged places and am now in Oz). I've borrowed armies from Man of Kent there to play, I'm sure you should be able to too, to actually get a game.

Stonehenge is quite near Bristol - the South West of England and near the Welsh border. Its quite pretty if you like big rocks :).
