Gents, looking for a straw poll of who would/woudn't look to enter Epic at the WPS CC next year.

End of May at Maelstrom in Mansfield would be 5 games, 3,000 point standard fair.

So post if you'd probable enter. Ta.

I'd be interested..... would it be worth a newbie like myself entering? (obviously there is time to prepare ahead of the event)

Yes, there is a long history or newer players turning up to events with one or two games experience..and nearly all of them are now tournament regulars.

I would have gone this year, but it clashed with Open War, and Epic can't really cope with two tourneys on the same day! Consequently I jumped ship and went to the trourney attracting the players!

So yes, I'd consider going to Epic at the CC next year.

I'd like to go if it moves back to its classic May bank holiday weekend.

I was in exactly the same situation just over a year ago, and turning up at a tournament with only either one or two games previously worked fine for me.

Good way to learn the more esoteric rules anyway!

My first Epic tournament was the Club challenge from a few years ago, and was great fun so i can highly reccommend it - although you could start with any event without a problem - the game has a bit of a steep learning curve, but after you've got a few events under your belt it's much easier going

As to the Epic CC - i'd be up for that if it was at Maelstrom (and doesnt conflict with anything else this year)

It will be at Maelstrom and is in May, as far as I know.

Well, apparently 7 interested may not be enough to retain Epic's place at the CC. With the move to maelstrom they are under real space pressure, and with games like Hordes/Warmachine and Malifaux gaining in popularity Epic may be a casualty.
