After 6 months of development Epic-UK are happy to announce the release of their next codex, Chaos Space Marines, and its a bit of a monster! Easily the largest book we have produced so far. In this codex you will find an amended Black Legion list and lists for cult marine followers of the major powers of Chaos, Death Guard, Emperors Children, Thousand Sons and World eaters. This new codex now replaces the original Black Legion list at all Epic-UK events, and those that chose to use our lists. The first such event will be Britcon 2010. The codex can be downloaded from Army lists . No quick reference sheets today, they are in the final stages of editing and should appear within the next two weeks. Thanks to everyone involved in the process and to those that have allowed us to use photographs of their models in the book. The team will now enjoy a much deserved night off before they get back on their heads and stuck into the Eldar. No rest for the wicked! If you have questions, queries or typo's (!) feel free to reply to this email, or use the contact us section of our web site (Epic-UK) |

Quote: feel free to reply to this email, Okay. :-) No update to the Lost & The Damned? What about shared units such as the Daemon Prince and Defiler? When playing in UK tournaments, should the more recent list (CSM) take priority, or the self-contained L&TD list maintain its current stats? Not that I'll be bringing L&TD to the next tourney I attend (Probably a while off, they all seem to be 2 day events for the next while), but it's nice to know in case I fight against a L&TD list. |

Typos: All titan info pages - font changes at 'Void Shields – See page 13', make consistent Also on p13 first bit of void info is in serif, is it meant to be? rest of doc is sans remove full stop from end of notes, full stop not found elsewhere (or add it in everywhere..make consistent): p41 disks p42 screamers p43 first 2 titans p48 WE lord p49 bikes p49 juggs p49 cannon of khorne p50 hounds etc (just check whole of doc, i started at end and there's 1-2 per page) En dashes vs hyphens make consistent, you are using both in the same way in different places, eg p44 armoured company info you have an en dash in 0 – 5, but p45 you have firelords 1-3. Do you want formatting comments as well? |

Thanks for those Apoc- anything that isn't a vital rules error can wait until the tidy-up in a few months but we'll collate what you have noticed. |

L&TD use the stats in their list for common units - daemons, DP, defiler |

Well, there is a slightly larger whoopsie in the book. Despite having access to Chaos Dreadnoughts, neither Black Legion nor the World Eaters have an upgrade entry in their lists for them ![]() So, both Black Legion and World Eaters formations, when permitted, may buy up to Three Chaos Dreadnoughts at 50 points each. I'll be working on the fixed up version of the book so any more typo's let me know in the next couple of weeks. Thanks. |

BlackLegion wrote: The picture of the Despoiler Battleship is actually a Desolator Battleship ![]() We know - we decided it was a big chaos spaceship so served the purpose. |

The amended codex has been uploaded to the Epic-UK site. The main changes are adding Chaos Dreadnought upgrade entries to Black Legions (page 20) and World Eaters (page 54). It was also noted that the Emperors Children had the slowest bikes in the universe at 15cm! This has been corrected to 35cm (page 33). |
