(Hena @ Mar. 04 2007,15:15) QUOTE The battle started with Necrons teleporting (shown below except the Pylon which teleported to the blitz at Necron end). And they won the initiative. Wow! Nasty ring around the Tau! Which Monolith did your opponent initially attack from? |

(Hena @ Mar. 04 2007,15:26) QUOTE The one in the right corner with the Obelisk. They moved between the two buildings and my Firewarriors couldn't reach them with overwatch. Gue'Vesa got off most of the shots, but only managed to kill couple of stands. Then in engage proper most of my forces couldn't reach their targets. Just a note, and something I wasn't initially aware of, if you have assaulted units that can't get into FF range of the attacking Phalanx, they *do not* contribute to the +1EAFF that Monoliths give. Only "directly engaged" units contribute to that, so some of those "outlying" Monoliths wouldn't have given extra support fire attacks. |

(Hena @ Mar. 04 2007,15:34) QUOTE Why? Can you specify that as I don't see any reason why it would be so. Discussed at the end of this thread. |

Of course monoliths range should count when calculating extra attacks, I don't see point it being other way... |

(Hena @ Mar. 04 2007,15:53) QUOTE Hmm... I think I'm going to ask about this on an SG forum (the working of support fire). Because if that would be correct, then the Necrons wouldn't have wiped them all out immediately (although my defences for tanks would have been lost none the less). All your guys were getting 4+ cover saves for the buildings as well, no? |

(Hena @ Mar. 04 2007,16:08) QUOTE Well my save percent with 4+ is around 20% ... ![]() Well, that's certainly better than my supreme commander percentages... ![]() |
