Post subject:  Help with organizing a tournament

Since I seem to be unable to rustle up some regular Epic games, I got the brilliant idea that I should organise a tournament at Swedens oldest (?) game convention GothCon XXXII (Easter 2008, so I've got lots of time ;-)
So now I've been entered and it hits me, what do I know of arranging tournaments, I've only entered in three tournaments (none of them Epic) before.

So I figured I'd call on your experinced help.

1. What is the preffered tournamentstyle? Swiss? All meet all?

2. How are points awarded?

3. Terrain setup, preplanned, placed by contestants, randomly redeployed?

4. What else to consider? I bet there are lots of things I need to think about.

5. I would like to run EA rulebook rules but which if any rule updates are necesary?

6. Which armylists are in such a state to be disallowed?

The first thing I would do is ask Braveheart (Mathew Otter) very nicely if you could use the tournament rules he has put together for the WPS. This will provide a lot of the answers you are looking for.
