Howdy folks, Two years back I organized a tournament in the Albany, NY area. people came from as far as Virginia to play and we had a small but fun turn out (8 people). I have noticed lately names that keep popping up in Maryland (Corey), Virginia (Lord Inquisitor), Pennsylvania (myself), etc., and I was thinking that it may be time for another tournament. While I have neither the time nor the energy to organize such a thing, I am throwing it out there to y'all to see what the level of interest is. Who here is interested and when can you play? I am in Allentown, PA and I am guessing this would NOT be a central location, but I'd be willing to drive a few hours for a good tournament. I'm available for the bulk of the Summer and Fall. I have lots of terrain that is left over from the previous tournament. |

It really depends on where it is. Right now it sounds like you are planning a NE coast tourney, which makes things a little more difficult for me, granted I can only go as far as Atlanta without getting Leave (which will be hard to get). |

Depending on where it's held, count me in. |

Neal's not too far away either - Washington, right? Yeah, I'd be up for it. But I don't have a car, which makes things tricky for me - ideally, it would really have to be in Virginia. I have got a friend here who has just started Epic, and he's seems pretty keen. He drove us all the way to Baltimore for GD, but that was a long trip. On the other hand, there is a games shop around here that regularly runs tournaments for a variety of games systems. I could approach the manager there and potentially set up a tournament with prizes and stuff here in Virginia Beach - if there was enough interest. |

I'm also in Virginia Beach. With some advance notice, I might be able to get away from the wife and little Quartus for a few hours. |

I'd be up for a tournement in the fall sometime. Late Oct. early Nov. maybe? Not a lot goes on around then. Location is not a huge deal for me, so long as its close to a major train terminal or within driving distance. How about some place in NJ, that's pretty close to everyone posting so far. New Brunswick is a decent place, I've been down that way before. |

I forgot to mention that I'm available for the rest of the summer and fall. New Jersey probably wouldn't be too far for me. |

You wait years to find another Epic player and then two come along at once. You want a game sometime? Do you know Atlantis Comics - I can get down there without too much trouble. PM me if you're interested. |

(Lord Inquisitor @ Jul. 06 2007,01:13) QUOTE Neal's not too far away either - Washington, right? I'm not in Washington. I have family there. I live in Nashville. I also have family in NC. If someone were to put together something for either the central or southern atlantic region, I'd definitely do my best to make it. New England is out. |

Sorry Neal, I obviously must have misunderstood at some point. Oh well! So how many people would actually be able to make it to Virginia Beach if I were to try and organise something there? |

Depending on the day and how much of an advance notice, I would make it. |

Is there anyone on these boards or SG's that's on the east coast and south of Virginia? I ask because it would make it easier on those of us coming from New England if the location wasn't quite so far south. And if there's no one south of VA... That's why I suggested a New Jerseyish area. Philadelphia might be better. |

Yes Dave I am in Florida... northern Florida, but still Florida (where Nealhunt is vacationing!). But I do not need to be in the equation - I am restricted to a 350 mile radius without leave and can not take leave at the moment without something really important happening. I also suspect that the guys who live in Memphis will be unable to make it (assuming East Coast is east of the Mississipi). In the future (a year or two) I will be in NC (most likely) followed by who knows where (England please!). |

I'm in New Jersey and if the date and location is right (NJ or Philly area) I may sit in for some watching and learning. (I have small, unpainted armies right now as I focus on building terrain, which is really my favorite thing) |
