Just encase there are fellow travellers looking for rail tickets to London, have a quick look on Megatrain: http://www.megatrain.com/uk/

It's just like mega bus and you could end up with train tickets for £1.00 to london. I've just looked and on Saturday 27th June I can:

Get from Derby to London for £7.00 (okay I have to arrive at 07.31, time for breakfast).
And I can get back to Nottingham for £12.50 (okay I will arrive at Notts at 0.22 but it means I can stay for the Saturday Chinese and I will have to get someone to pick me up from Notts station).

All-in-all London and back for £19.50 ... bargin!

Well, my flabber was ghasted to see I could get to London from Crewe for the princely sum of £8! The disadvantage being the train left at 6, arriving in London for breakfast at 8.

Your in, and with just under 4 weeks to go places are going fast.

Saturday - Booked(12) provisional(7)
Sunday    - Booked(5) provisional(3)

There is a maximum of 20 places for each day, so there is still space for others to sign up, and I will work on a first-paid basis after Sunday 14th June (not just those who have reserved a place) - so get your bookings in ASAP.

Yup, drop in by all means - there's no charge (as you know)

You could even play a game or two as well, though sadly I have been roped into an C18th game so I won't be free. TRC might be available, and you could always pursuade others of the Cross gaming club to come up (and pay while they are at it  )

Hey folks

Am I too late for this one?

I should point out that I've only ever played one game so what is your policy on n00bs?  I promise to get some games in before the tournie!

I can probably bring some sadly unpainted but pleasantly OOP placcy Epic ruins.

Well - - - since there are quite a lot of people who have not paid up despite the warnings, you would be very welcome. You shoud have a painted army with reasonably representative troops (but we do play the "counts as" rule.

I also have unpainted ruins, but unless you can provide a lot more terrain (enough to dress one table) then I would not bring any.

As for practice games, if you come along to the pub on Tuesday nights I can give you a game - or you can arrange to meet one of the other competitors there. That said, the tournament 'regulars' are quite friendly and will help you during the game (while they also destroy your army of course  )
