Hey Ouroboros

Does one 'reserve' a table with the wargaming club? It would be a shame to turn up and not have a table.

Also, you need to prod your mate from Acomb to say hi here.

I was thinking we should do a mini-gaming session soon...

Hi AgeingHippy

Sorry for the delay in replying, I've had some orders to cast up and a couple of medical appointments to attend.

Generally speaking, you just turn up at the club (I'm assuming you mean YWS and not the Garrison) and grab a table - with all the oppotunity to overturn the pecking order and put noses out of joint that that action suggests lol ;) Paying a nominal fee to become a member got you access to club scenery and the right to reserve a big table for special games. Last time I was there they weren't particularly thrilled by new guys and no one played Epic, but that was YEARS ago.

My friend (whom I now dub "the feckless wonder of Acomb") has said repeatedly that he was up for hosting games and acting as a sort of central hub were we could all meet up (at least initially anyway). He is however a hopeless old lush having already assured me, several times, that he would turn up here and say hello. As the old saying goes 'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink'.

I'll give him a bell and see what's what.

Hi one and all this is Ouroboros allusive mate from Acomb, honest I'm real and not just a figment of his twisted imagination. ;D

I'm defiantly up for running a game round at mine if people are interested. I've my own games room will surplie lunch (dietary requirements in advance please :) ), parking is no real problem.

The best date for Ouroboros and my self is Sat the 10th of March and any Sat after that date.

At present can only do green planets but am working on that one. Have over 6000 pt. of Elder, 3000-4000 Templars and 2500 Blood angles, and more waiting for the painting desk.

All the best Frenchie

Hey Targ

Nice to (virtually) meet you. Seems there are a fair number of us in the area so we should get some gaming going, perhaps even a local Minigeddon much like that run by the the (descendents of) criminals and sheep shaggers ^-^ shipped out some time ago, in this thread which certainly looked succesfull and fun.

I am pretty much up for a game at short notice so drop me a line when you fancy a quicky. As you may have noticed in another of my posts, I need some practice upping my playing speed before the next tournament. I have a fairly complete Space Marines army (I estimate about 7 - 10,000 points :) ) so a rather wide choice available to me. Just no spaceship/drop pods/landing craft. Have most everything else.

I'm afraid that I'm off on tour with my son's rugby team that weekend. I can make the 17th though.

Just spoken to Frenchie, the 17th is good for both of us (it will give me time to get my Guards painted!).

Frenchie also said that if you fancied calling round before that, after work or during your diner hour - to say hi and have a cupa - then PM him and he'll give you his address. I'll do my best to turn up as well.

Hello James. Yes, we play 3K tournament rules. At least for the time being. Our plan is, when we are satisfied we have a good handle on the rules, to move from tournament to scenario driven games and eventually to get some kind of campaign going.

You're welcome to join us on the 17th if you wish.

Regards - Russ

Hi Russ

Thank you very much. I'm not sure at the moment whether I can make the 17th but if not then should be able to make a future Saturday. I'm unemployed at the moment so won't be able to afford to come that often initially. But I figured if I don't get over your way, I am not likely to get a game of EA at my local club in Leeds (and so I would probably lose my current painting impetus).

Thanks

James
