20 is a hard limit. There simply isn't any space for more tables, as anyone that went last year will confirm!

There is no experimental day this year. It's a straight 2 day, 5 game tournament.

At least that's how I understand it. Ginger, care to comment?

Hrm I'm not so keen on 2 day tournaments.

Ok, I have always found two day competitions slightly more fair (and you get to play 5 people rather than three), as the end result is not so dependant upon the initial draw. It is also easier to organise. Holding two separate events on the weekend does allow more flexibility for people's arrangements and potentially allows greater numbers (last year we had a total of 23 people over the two days), though as Rug says 'gaming' days never pull in the same numbers. We could even hold two separate tourneys back-to-back if that is prefered (and there is sufficient interest).

I am not really bothered too much either way, and am open to suggestions:- does anyone have any strong preferences either way (don't all shout at once). At present this will be a 2-day tourney unless there is strong feeling for some other option. Note, if we split this into separate days, the entry fee will then be £10 per day.

Currently the venue is an Irish pub, which is usually open from around 9:30 to late, so late finishes are not a problem for anyone local to London. Last year we popped round the corner for a really superb Chinese take-away which we ate upstairs in the pub. This time, I might put on my WWI air game as an added attraction in the evening if there is enough demand.

Either way, we will need to tie this down fast, if only to allow people to book travel and accomodation, so I will be finalising the details over the next week or two.

One last thing; I gather we are close to finalising the 'E:A Siege' supplement. It would significantly reduce the shipping costs if we could get the London/UK copies printed and shipped to me as we did for the 'Raiders' supplement last year.

To do this, we need to do some rapid playtesting over the next 2-3 weeks to iron out any bugs in order to put in any last minute corrections - Moscovian and E&C have the final say on this.

Hey,

Can I register a place for myself and Chung? It'll be ace to brush off the old EPIC mini's :D.

Regards,

Tom

I'd love for a two day tournament; also find them fairer in the long run and being able to play into the night sounds great :-)
Howsabout a spot of multiplater Aeronautica in the evening as well as WW1?

Any idea on dates yet? Basically there is only one weekend I can do in July and I don't want to have a ticket reserved if I can't make it! I'm sure this will sell out VERY quickly.

I'm praying your going to say 18-19th!

although I'd prefer 27th/28th June I would be back of Holiday for the 18th/19th July so that date would  be good for me too.

At the moment, I am still going for a 5x game tournament over two days on 27th-28th June. The reason for the slight query over the dates is both on accomodation (who have not got back to me yet) and the potential publication of the E:A Siege supplement at the same time.

I am hoping that we can get sufficient interest in testing the lists over the next two weeks (to 15th May) for E&C to give it a green light; and sufficient numbers prepared to pre-pay for the supplement for Mosc to get it to the printers soon afterwards. If we can do this, it means that the London / UK supplements can be sent to me for distribution at the event making a significant saving on the shipping costs.

I'd order a copy of siege if it's out by then in that case.
Rug; forget nottingham; epic tourney's are the place to be ;-)
