The traditional end to the Epic UK Premiership/Championship season is back at Battlefield Hobbies, Daventry.

5 games at 3K points over the two days will see both leagues settled for another year.

Cost is £25, which includes a buffet lunch both days.

Tickets and details here - http://epic-uk.co.uk/wp/event-calendar/epic-uk-gt/

Five players signed up so far, plenty of room for more!

Last time I had a game was the GT in 2017, where I came last, so I am not optimistic about my chances in this one! I shall learn to enjoy getting pwned.

Be good to have you along again AxelFendersson. It's all good fun rolling dice, even when it is all going south!

Fantastic spread of lists & races due to be competing this weekend!

Codex marines
Dark Angels
Thousand Sons
Death Guard
Tyranids
Necrons
Dark Eldar
Yme-loc Eldar
Steel Legion
Tau
Knights
Speed Freaks
Ghaz Orks

Only a couple of repeats in there. First round draw has been done already, and we'll put that online here too once a couple of admin bits have been wrapped up in the background.

Cheers
Reedar

Morning folks,

Well, the GT is nearly upon us, so it's time to reveal the first round draw!

Al (Yme-loc Eldar) vs Dave (Codex marines)

Joe (Dark Eldar) vs Ross (Steel Legion)

Barry (Necrons) vs Glyn (Siegemasters)

Steve C (Thousand Sons) vs Mike (Dark Angels)

Andy J (Tau) vs Gary (Death Guard)

Horatio (Orks) vs Paul (Yme-loc Eldar)

Darren (Speed Freaks) vs Andy H (Codex marines)

Steve G (Knights) vs bye

We're at odd numbers on the Saturday, so we'll run a bye with the TO's sitting out a round each. Numbers might change for the Sunday so we'll take a view on things once we've got a better view on things.

Hope everyone is looking forward to it, and starting to devise nefarious plans to deal with whatever challenges the first round has thrown at them...

Well, another Epic UK GT comes to a close, and with it the end of the 2022 Season.

When the dust settled, Steve C was top of the pile, going undefeated with his durable Thousand Sons, Darren R grabbed 2nd place using Speed Freaks, and the Landspeeder heavy Codex Marines of Andy H rounded out the top three.

Ross P landed both the Most Sporting and Players Best Army awards with his superb looking Steel Legion, and Al M scooped the Judges Best Army accolade.

It was an enjoyable event, and brilliant to see some new and returning players.

Behind the scenes we are busy getting the 2023 events schedule sorted out, and beginning work cranking out the long awaited updates on various codexes.

If anyone has any comments, questions or feedback, we'd love to hear from you.

Tickets for Winter Assault in Scotland on Dec 2nd are still available, and we'll be back with Winter Warmer in Bristol in January.

Thanks
The Epic UK team
