WOndering how you E:A players field your titans?

With several of mine, I have particular weapons but am only finding generic, inflexible variants in the army lists. Is it permissible to mix and match weapons to customise things?
The last thing I want is an unfair advantage or disputes- but I just want some flexibility.

For example, how do I field a chaos titan with an energy whip? (all I can find that's vaguely similar is a Banelord)

What about a gargant with a snapper?

Here's a thought: why don't we just have a list of permitted titan weapons and damage stats, with sensible restrictions so that we can all pick 'n' mix?

Other will likely be along to explain the reasons better but you could use the AMTL list

Titans in "other" lists were standardized for game balance purposes when GW first put out Epic: Armageddon; the plan was to eventually allow variants and changes, but the big-wigs at GW put an end to that when they cut funding to Specialist Games.

However, there are Titan-focused army lists being developed, all under the Adeptus Mechanicus header.  More information can be found here, specifically in the first pinned thread:

Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legions

There is hope that "variable" Titans will eventually be point-costed/balanced for use in other lists, but it's a long, hard process.

For Gargant variants, there's the Orkamedies Gargant Big Mob v2.2

Take a look and let us know what you think!

There seems to be some talk about Eldar and Tyranid titan lists too, but as far as I understand there isn't much work done with them yet.

There's a war engine and Titan focused Eldar list with the Yme-Loc Craftworld.

A Titan focused Eldar list in the Lugganath Craftworld, but it hasn't been updated in a while.

And the Bio-Titan Tyranid list is still in very early development as the core Tyranid list hasn't been finalized yet.

So... yeah, there's a lot of Titany goodness out there!  *laugh*
