Hi All, Ortron and I managed to work out a time for battle 2. He switched to AMTL this time and I used it as a test for the Nurgle bits I'd painted up. I was a bit short of minions so ended up adding some Khorne allies. Test of the Plague Tower, Bubonis and the Breath of Nurgle, none of which I'd used under NetEpic rules. I hope Geoff will get a chance to throw up the proper pics and a write up. Here again are some phone camera pictures to whet the appetite. ![]() The Battlefield. ![]() Bubonis and friends waddle forward. ![]() AMTL are ready. ![]() Berzerkers hit the trench line. |

Some things I noted: - The Plague Tower with 15cm move and 75cm on the main gun is at least useable now. Still not really a killer unit, and it is still painfully slow, but that's Nurgle for you. You should at least get to fire the main barrage at something each turn. - Bubonis isn't a good choice in 4000 points. He does verge on being indestructable, but you get so little effective firepower for the whopping 1200 points it's not really worth it. Might be ok in really HUGE games. - Asked the question about the LoB in another thread. Nurgle as a major power is clearly the weakest option IMO. I guess if you were playing an assault scenario where Chaos was the defender they might be effective but in an encounter game they really don't have much. |
