Turn 2 ![]() * Baneblade drops an Acastus Knight, breaking the remaining knight before it can activate * Kataphrons engage Regimental HQ to bounce them off the objective, succeed in winning combat with a single loss. * Sentinels fire on Ruststalkers, destroying a transport. Occupants pass their save. * Onagers fire on Warhounds, downing a single void shield * Hydras and Infantry company break Kataphrons * Armigers fire on Tank Company * Warhounds fire on Vanguard, rolling poorly. The two hits are saved. * Dragoons try to disrupt warhounds, missing terribly * Tank company fires on Onagers, destroying two * Rust stalkers engage and destroy sentinels — * Regimental HQ rallies * Dragoons, Acastus, and Kataphrons fail to rally * One kataphron, one dragoon, and two onagers returned via MoM |

Turn 3 ![]() * Warhound fires on Vanguard, comes very close to breaking them * Rust stalkers engage tank company, destroying them * Infantry company engages kataphrons, destroying them and taking the objective marker * Onagers fire on warhound, taking out the void shields * Basilisks fire on ruststalkers, taking out a single unit * Vanguard fire on warhound, breaking it — At this point we called it as it was getting late - SL was fairly depleted. AdMech just needed to pass three activation rolls (still had my SC) to destroy broken warhounds for BtS, and the Basilisks would’ve had to win melee with kastellans (in cover) to prevent Take and Hold. There were thoughts from my opponent that MoM may be a little too powerful. I’ve played against Explorator Fleet twice, and I think it’s ok, but it does require the opponent to focus attacks on individual formations (or sniping out characters) instead of just spreading attacks out. For my part, it may make sense to cap the max MoM points you can take (or at least use)? I don’t see it being an issue for us locally, but it’s not too expensive in points/activations to show up with MoM(9+). I continue to really enjoy EA in general and this AdMech list specifically. Would love thoughts on the battle report format - I definitely need to be taking action shots of the decisive moments. |
