Start of Game Start of Game TBolts CAP IG do the same Scouts double One more IG CAP SM Tbolts get CAPed, jink and loose one Scout suffer under the Shadowsword SM TBolts intercept and shoot down a IG Tbolt Basilisks claim two Marines They fail and regroup The scouts break from the Bombards Whirlwinds takes out some IG They marashal Land Speeders double and take out a DC on the Shadowsword Sentinels go on overwatch The THawk lands and hits two Bombards who both save The Baneblades fail Land Speeders double and lay a BM on the Bombards The HQ doubles and takes two out Land Raiders double and take a guardsmen and Chimera out The Russes march

Turn 2 Turn 2 Speeders engage and break the Shadowsword, taking it down to 1 DC Devastators sustain and take out two Chimera and some Guardsmen TBolts CAP Whirlwinds get luck and take out two Russes Land Speeders advance and lay a BM on the Baneblades Russes marshal and lay a BM On the Devastors The HQ marshal as well and moves to cover TBolts hit and break the Basilisks and dodging a bunch of CAP shots The Guardsmen engage and wipe out the Speeders for a stand SM TBolts drop two IG TBolts Baneblades marshal and move Scouts march A IG TBolts CAPs Tacticals take out the Hydra in the Baneblades Sentinels stay on overwatch A TBolts stands down The THawk comes in, suffers CAP, hacks down a Bombard and picks up the Tacticals

Turn 3 Turn 3 Terminators teleport in Devastators advance and catch the HQ in a Crossfire, some Chimera and guardsmen go down The HQ marshals Whirlwinds hit the Russes for a BM Terminators engage the Baneblades One Terminator goes down and the Commissar falls back Russes get to the halfway point TBolts hit them The SC looses a Rhino and Hunter to the Bombards, I believe The Shadowsword goes on overwatch Tbolts stand down Infantry Marshal TBolts take out a Russ Sentinels march The Tactical engage the Russes and break them. A Tbolt his the Scouts Scouts double and hack down a Russ

Turn 4 Turn 4 Scouts engage the Russes The Russes break them Devastators sustain again on the HQ, it's still not breaking Russes lay a BM on the Tacticals The HQ fails an regroups TBolts break the Russes A Tbolt lays a BM on the Basilisks A single Basilisk takes out two Marines Land Speeders engage the Sentinels A few go down and the rest are destroyed Bombards break themselves Tacticals marshal and grab T&H TBolts CAP Whirlwinds double and grab a DTF objective, loosing one to difficult terrain, and break the Russes. Guardsmen engage the Termiantors The Terminators are wiped out TBolts hack down a Russ The Benblade guards the blitz The THawk takes out the russes, getting BTS The Shadowsword breaks itself The SC doubles and grabs DTF End of Game End of Game, Eric approves

DS's activation luck wore out sometime in late turn 2. It ended up being a a reactionary game for the IG after that, just trying to prevent the Marine win and doing as much damage as possible. It ended up 4-0, with the Marines taking everything except Blitz.

Despite the final score, it was a close game. Unfortunately my failed activations piled up, as Dave mentioned. I usually don't take Baneblades, but with a point reduction I would probable take them more often. The overall points reductions essentially gave me an extra activation.
