Post subject:	[Epic: Xenos] 3k Onachus v0.4 vs IG (NetEA) - 2011/03/02
This was our first game with Jaldon's special rules. Biggest changes from v0.3 were no rally mod, no merging, and brood being unable to contest/controlled (whether lead by synapse or not). This game went to points with the bugs winning by a slim margin, less than 300 points if I had to guess from the final picture and what was destroyed.

Start of Game Start of Game The Tbolts Straffe the stealers and lay a BM. The Dactylis give the guard in the woods a pounding. The Guard marshal. And shoo on the Stealers, laying a BM. The Stealers on the right flank march. The Sentinels go on overwatch. The Stealers marshall. An infantry company doubles on the objective. Sentinels march to screen. And infantry doubles to guard the Blitz. The Rough Riders march. The HQ doubles and takes out three stealers. The Reaver engages them and wipes them out. The Trygons arrive. The Lictors teleport in.

Turn 2 Turn 2 The Trygons engage the Sentinels. One goes down... The Sentinels are wiped out, and the Trygons broke. The Lictors engage the Infantry. One Lictor and 3 infantry go down. The Lictors chase them off. The Tbolts take out a Dactylis. The Dactylis sustain on the HQ. A Swarm arrives and clips the Rough Riders after the Infantry on the other side of the table overwatch. Two Rough Riders go down. The rest are hacked down. The Genestealers engage the HQ. The Genestealers win but break because of losses. The Reaver pummels the Swarm in the building. Another Swarm comes down and engages the HQ, all but the Commissar is wiped out. The Sentinels attempt to overwatch but fail and regroup. The Infantry overwatch.

The Lictors engage the broken infantry after the infantry on the blitz stay on overwatch. Two infantry and a Lictor go down. The Lictors wipe them out. The Reaver doubles and hits the Swarm in cover again. The Dactylis sustain on it and take out three Void Shields. A synapse swarm doubles. Another Swarm drop in and doubles, the BTS engages the Reaver, drops it to 3 DC but fails to win.

Turn 4 The Bugs try engaging the Reaver again, they bring it to 2 DC but fail to break it. The Reaver doubles back to grab the Blitz. The Dactylis sustain on it and break it. The Infantry stays on overwatch. A Swarm drops in and clips the Sentinels. One goes down, and another two are hacked down. The Tbolts straffe the Stealers and take one out. The Stealers attempt to march for DTF but fail and break. End of game.

so I'm guessing all the swarms came down this time? How many nid fms failed to rally in each end phase as a result of dropping the rally mod (ignore +2 for broken, right?). The nids seemed to do as well (or badly) as they always do, irrespective of that, just going on the final result.
