AMTL can't lose despite what its army champion says. Like bringing a mandiblaster to a quake cannon fight. |

Thanks for the report. I don't know if it was possible or not, but when facing AMTL I always try and stay out of line of sight of the Warlords and pick on the support formations. Once they are broken/destroyed you can then concentrate on placing Blast Markers on the larger titans to break them and stop them from claiming objectives. |

Ditto what Tim says. You beat the AMTL by cutting at their edges and removing their weaker formations first, putting them down to 4-5 activations from turn 2 onwards. Only then do you try and tackle their bigger assets. Cool report, looks like fun! |

That's also my main worry when fielding them - the Warlords are slow, and Eldar, in partcular, are adept at staying out of LOS. I find that the Command Warlord is worth every single one of its massive 1050 points cost. Sitting on my Blitz objective, it effectively denies both Blitz and BTS, and with the Blitz in cover (which I make sure it is!) it is hard to shoot at it at range. The 180cm 6BP MW barrage, meanwhile, can usually break or severely damage at least one enemy formation per turn; two if the opponent is careless. My esteemed opponent was a bit too aggressive, and in his eagerness to obtain good shots frequently left his assets in positions where I could shoot back; Being fragile Eldar, that is probably not a good idea. |

I beat the AMTL 2 out of 2 times with the Dark Eldar, an army of light vehicles and firefighting infantry. It can be done. The trick is to out-play and out-maneuver them, not out-shoot them. |

Great terrain in those pics. I'll agree with the others, out activating them is really the key. That and being annoying with ZoC. ![]() |

Or just avoiding the titans. They have massive range, but hiding from them on the edges of the board or in terran will draw them out, forcing them to double and lose efficacy. |

I like feeding enemy titans my Rangers; they're cheap, I don't care about them and they annoy the hell out of my opponent - what more could you want? oh, and ouch, that must have been a frustrating game for the Eldar player! |
