Turn 1:
Marines win initiative.
Marines Thunderhawk CAS ground attacks Shadowsword 1, despite valiant AA fire taking a DC from the Thunderhawk a critical hit vapourised the unsuspecting shadowsword. (Pulsar does a little dance, high on the fact that action one has destroyed a dreaded Shadowsword!)
Seeing it's neighbours demise Shadowsword 2 immediately went on overwatch!
The Crusader squad on the marines left flank roars into action, charging down the road into the overwatch fire of the Stormtrooper's Valkyrie, but surviving the maelstrom with just 2 blast markers and retaliating by destroying a Stormtrooper and a Valkyrie.
The Guard look to consolidate their position and maneuver the Mech Platoon into the central city ruins.

From beyond the horizon two thunderhawk transporters plough through the skies, disgourging their cargo of Crusaders directly behind the Stormhammers, failing any damage they only manage to place a blast marker.
With Astartes precision they retain the surprise and yet another Thunderhawk slams to the ground in front of the beleaguered Stormhammers, sprinting from their warengine the Emperors champion and his Sword Brethren engage the Super Heavies.
The Marines manage a valiant 7 Hits and 1 Macro (Even though the Hydra made it's save versus the snipe!) and the guard an equal 7 hits but to the marines delight a DC lost on one Stormhammer destroys it in a critical explosion! (Pulsar does a little dance again.)
The combat ended with 4 kills to the marines, 2 to the guard but on resolution a straight draw.
In the second round of combat the surviving two Stormhammers hit just 3 times, but the marines equal their ineptitude with 3 hits and a 1 macro. When the smoke clears the Hydra is slag and another battle brother lies in pieces. The Superheavies then press their weight advantage and win the resolution by 2, crumbling another Brethren!

MUHAHHAHHAHHAHH!
The Stormhammers get caught up celebrating their beating 1250 points of Black Templars and fail to activate . . . twice! So just removes Blast markers.
Deeply angered by the loss of their Sword Brethren the Landspeeders fire up the engines popping over a building to murder another Stormtrooper.
The Leman Russ - although ecstatic at the Stormhammers success - see the 'hammers are vulnerable and advance to shoot the Crusaders arrayed about the Transporters landing gear. The Russ's withering hail of energy and explosive shells shatter the unit down to just three stands of Marines!

Desperate to finish the insanely stubborn Stormhammers the final Crusader squad along with the Supreme Commander march and position themselves directly before the formidable armoured behemoths.
Finally the Stormblades fail to activate, stumbling forwards through the Cathedral ruins.
End Phase:
Both broken Space marine units (Sword Brethren and Crusaders from Transporters) rally.
The Crusaders on the marines left remove all BM's.
The Stormblades remove their 1 BM, but the stormtroopers fail to remove any.
End of turn 1.
