Tobbe's second netEA battle. Yeah, a new convi... vert!  :p

The table almost exactly as I want my desert ones. Maybe more diapiric(?) columns. I especially liked those plants. (Even if "my" plants are dark red conifers.)
And Tobbe with his absolutly fantastic catch on the local eBay. Lots of orks including great gargant for almost nothing. A really good start.
Anyhow... on to the battle.
1'000 points for learning the ropes. Yeah, 1'000. If you don't build expensive formations from heavy and hard units it works out. One might whant to NOT put a commissar in a support baneblade too...

Birka IV: Baneblade/commissar - Mech Inf/commissar/supreme/leman russ - Bombards.
"Evil Yet Unnamed Ork": Kult of Speed - Blitz Brigade - Warband - Mekboy Stompamob.
BTS in bold letters.

Not much to add here really, I think. As it's a learning battle it can't fit in Alfakta.
My plan, ah yes, I can talk about my plan.
Roll up and secure the centre with the central company. 23 units (the hydra isn't there, it got substituted for a supreme) should hold them orks at bay for a while.
The bombards to lock down anything that looked threatening (everything!) and the fearless (!) baneblade to mop up or smash down whatever in it's sights.

Main battle started. My company tripled forward and took up a central position.
The stompaz lurched on and ended up between the hills.
If I remember right here I think the bombards doubled forward to pommel them somewhat.
Buggies surge forward, baneblade moves up as does the warband and the blitzerz move ahead.

The company moved left to get out of reach from a direct assault from the stompas and shoot up the blitz brigade to the left instead.
The stompas trundled over the knoll instead of straight ahead, probably a bit scared of the baneblade. Not sure why really, they where far stronger.
Blitzerz and Kulterz got chased of at jolly good speed. (Admittedly the bombards managed to fire both first and second turn. *slap on wrist*) but the bombards where down to two and a blast marker.
The baneblade got a shoot or three of on them stompaz.
And them evul stompaz got over the hill and layed down a hail at the company...

...followed up by the warband, finally arrived from their long and arduous trek across blighted sand...z.
The valiant and unbreakable baneblade (Wittman?) took up a supportive position in the middle to let both the company and the bombards take a well earned rest.
(Dang die! The company failed to rally twice!)

Warband broken, stompaz hiding behind the hill and kulterz down to nothing. The day was nearly lost for valiant Birka!
Two broken war truckz sneaked in from behind and found the blitz. Luckily enough they didn't manage to rally and saw their next move towards greener pastures than Birka regimental grounds...

At this point Tobbe conceded. With only 1'000 points it's usually a game of attrition. Sooner or later one has a fighting force, however beaten up, and the other one not.
My baneblade was unharmed and fearless, supported by company remnants and two bombards. Not much he could do really.

But all in all an enjoyable fight. Welcome Tobbe!

Gotta' agree with Chroma Erik these pictures are on the small side even for Taccomm. If I end up with eye strain from looking at stuff on line my wife will jump to all sorts of conclusions about my Net Surfing and that will be me banned. Any chance we could have them enlarged pretty please.

Ok, I must have missed something in the rules.
What's the max dimensions for linked pictures?

No,it seem as if TacCom reduce them.
They are 800x but shows up somewhere around 700x.

Attached Pictures are 150KB (it lists it at the bottom so... Maximum file size (kb): 150
but as for the pictures themselves when linked using Image *shrug* I can't get a straight answer I can understand on this though I have asked three times so far. From my point of view and understanding all the TacComm picture sizes decreased since the site board change (location?.. whatever). As far as I can tell (from what I have read on site regards this subgect) it's because they now automatically do this to all pictures because some people dislike using their mouse control to scroll sideways to look at stuff... so I have to save to file and then look at what I save from there to tell what the hell has been posted otherwise I see a teeny tiny (2" x 3") postage stamps with indistinct dots and colour... like waaaay in the distance. Me? Pissed off?.. Understatement! But who GAF!

Ah yes the resolution theory, my old friend what took you sooo long to be mentioned? My home computer may suck and I would accept this as fact. However the state of the art one at work is still in teeny tiny suck'o'vision even though they are on wide screen high resolution (Don't ask it's higher is all I know)

Very sorry for the Hi-Jack Erik. My apologies.

So, text added.

Ok, then I know how to handle size in the future.
I'll them full sized and let TacCom do it's internal magic.
So no problem Wor(ry)head.

Mine: 210 x 128 pixels (first pic 2nd post)on 800 x 600 res on my screen at home. I need a better PC... and operator.

Meh, Good luck Erik but it doesn't work for me.    Bah-Humbug!

Good to hear though that there is yet another fresh player for the tabletop meatgrinder.
