Turn 3.

Marines win the initiative again, surprise!

With the Stormhammer newly rallied and once more threatening the final two Sword Brethren leap onto it, isolated from any support the Stormhammer quickly falls beneath their mighty blows.

Being cowardly and shameful the Shadowsword returns to overwatch, jealously guarding the blitzkrieg.

Having dealt with the Stormtroopers he Crusader formation positioned on the road sieze the opportunity to claim both objectives in the Guard half.

The Stormblades try to remedy their failure from last turn and advance on an objective, turning their macro weapons upon the pesky Emperors Champion and anihilate him and his Sword Brethren!

The Landspeeders throw caution to the wind and triple to contest the Blitzkrieg, losing another of their number to the titan hunter.

Aware of the impending threat of the Supreme Commander with his Crusaders in the Thunderhawk Transporter the Leman Russ double back to their blitzkrieg and shoot the Landspeeders into fleeing.

So to win the game Pulsar needed a 3+ to bring his Transporters in and then needed to win the combat and budge the undamaged Stormblade formation off of their objective.
He succeeded in the action, landing just within firefight range of the end stormblade the marines poured from their landraiders and opened upon the Superheavy. When all was done the Hydra and 2 DC had been destroyed on the Guard side and a Landraider and one Marine lay in ruins opposite, bringing the combat to a draw. Seizing this opportunity the Guards rolled a second Stormblade into range and resumed firing, succeeding only in the destruction of the first Stormblade. The marines won the resolution and the huge guard tanks fled as fast as they were able leaving the Marines with two objectives in the Guard half and no unbroken guard units in theirs, a 2-0 victory to the Templars.

Thanks for the batrep!  So I think it would be great to get some feedback on both armies from both players.

Specific to the Minervans, was your list composition driven more by choice or by model availability?  Did you feel hamstrung by the low activation count?  Obviously your opponent had a low activation count as well, but I'll let the question stand.  If you could add any type of additional formation to the list, what would it be?  Did you feel like the list was over or underpowered in general?
