Post subject:  Feral ork proxies?
Wondering if anyone has decent proxy ideas for both the orkeosaurus and/or boar boys.

I'm even thinking ironically enough that you could replace boar boys with bikers but the Saurus is the killer. Especially if you want several...

*edit* no objections to recasts if such a thing exists!

Microworld Miniature's fantasy orcs may have what you're looking for. Worth a shot.

microworld orc boar riders are excellent sculpts. They also have a large orkeosaurus size mini, but i don't have one personally.

What about buying a bag of cheap party bag dinosaurs and carving those up? Once you'd covered it with card and green stuff armour I think that might work. Some gunwagon bits might be useful especially the towers.

For the Orkeosaurus I have seen some very good conversions from toy dinosaurs.

I found an very interesting proxy for the Orkasaurus. It comes as a box set with good proxies for Ork Biker Boyz which you can use as Boar Riderz. Look up Spartan Games Forestorm Planetfall - Sorian Collective It has a huge 6 legged dinosaur with gun howdah and comes with 10 bikes. I think 60 English pounds is a little steep, and probably not worth the cost, especially considering how many you would need.

That aside, for someone with the money, it solves your problem.

The Spartan stuff is HUGE ! Its 10mm but a very big 10mm. I've never seen one of those IRL but I wouldn't be surprised if it were 15cm or more high - ie. bigger than a warlord. Then again, given how tough orkasurus seem to be... :-)

I found another site that has dinosaurs that could be used. However they are a 28mm range. The humans could be removed and the rest modified to represent 6mm gargantuan Orkasaurus and Sqiggoths. Has anyone purchased these yet, and can tell if they would be the correct size for 6mm feral orks?

Wow, Eureka Minis to be releasing a decent sized mini that can be used for Fantasy Lizard warriors and for Ferals Orks. 10mm, but the mini looks brilliant. Good thing about it all is that Eureka are in Victoria Australia, so postage will be cheaper and delivery time will be faster.

Providing they ever release the mini. The press release was dated back in 2016, perhaps it is still on the drawing board. Either that or GW have been poking their IP hammer about. The mini looks different enough to not be a Fantasy Lizard mini or Oraksaurus mini put out by GW or Forgeworld.

Wanted to play and getting a Feral army ready for a while now, but it always came to a halt with that hard to obtain Orkeosaurus mini .
So now my Ferals will breed a new race " Boareosaurus". Its simply a Warhammer 40k boarboy without the boy. Perfect size...what U guys think abut that?
Got plenty of em ready in a couple of weeks.

If you haven't tried already, email them directly, quite often stuff is available from Eureka when not on their webshop yet...
