Just wondering what people like fielding when they have a Uge Stompa mob (575 points)

4 stompas + 1 supa stompa

vs

3 stompas + 1 supa stomap + 3 killer cans

vs

3 stompas + 14 killer Cans

I really like The supa-stompa. I always take one when I play orks. I tend to take one flakkwagon though rather than extra walkers.

I have 2 Deff Skulz Warbands that contain Stompas . One has 4 Stompas & 5 Kans. The other just 4 Stompas. But both have the option of a Mekboy Supa Stompa ... Or Mekboy Gargant ...

Supa Stompa and 3 Stompas is most typical for me.

Any reason for not taking an extra Stompa with the Supa Stompa or does that break the rules? I have never played Orks.

3 Stompas = 225 points (Normal Cost) for the Stompa Mob
1 extra Stompa = 75 points
1 Supa Stompa = 275 points

Total 575 which equates to the Uge limit.

I think you have the rules a bit mixed up there. The 'Uge mob doesn't set a limit to the points you can spend on the mob - it's just a mob of 9 stompas for 575 points. 'Uge mobs in general are always 3x the size of a normal mob (and Big mobs 2x the size) with a points savings incorporated (9*75 points would be 675) to make up for the fewer formations you'll be able to field. You can't swap models either - a 'Uge stompa mob will always consist of 9 stompas, though you are free to add extra units as upgrades.
In theory, you could buy a 'Uge mob and add up to three Supa stompas and as many Killer Kans, Dreadnoughts, Flakwagons, extra Stompas etc as you'd like.

Personally I am in the slightly unfortunate situation of having just 5 stompa models. I could buy a regular mob for 225 points and add another two stompas for a total of 375 - but that seems so wasteful when I could get a Big mob of 6 stompas for 400 points, if only I had one more model...

But to answer the original question (sort of) I usually field a regular mob with a Supa Stompa and three or four Killer Kans to beef up the model count.

Oh that makes sense. I thought the point cost for the uge (575) was the maximum points that you could spend for the whole unit.

I just got another set of Orks coming. Not exactly sure what all in in there. Looks like at least 1 gargant , lots of dreadnoughts, warbikes and other misc stuff. There is 1st edition Ripper Fist, so maybe there is a great gargant in there, but doubtful.
