Hello All.

I have just started with EA and with an ork army i managed to buy. I am still waiting for the models in the post so i only have some poor pics from the listing.

First i dont have a rule book as of yet as i can only mail order these in New Zealand so i dont really no how to play and how to make an army list.

Second is there any pdfs of how to make an ork list and the point cost and also possibly pics of the models of what they represent.

This may only be a base for the list or posibly i might not need to get any more models as i dont know the currenty ponit cost of these guys and what point size most people play in EA.

This are the pics of what i have bought.

All C&C welcome so for being a n00b been playing 40k all my life. Was to young and dumb to play epic when i was a lad.

Go to GW's website. Rulebooks are all there under specialist games->epic->epic resources.

That ought to get you in right direction :D

Let's see if this link works. Should take you in right place if it works.

Edit: And your picture doesn't show :-(

Edit2: And now it does :D

Ookay. That's lots of infantry, some gunwagons with big mek, fighta bommaz, stompas, this and that. Good start! You might need more grots(I atleast tend to have way too few grots compared to boyz and only the fact I have ridiculous amount of orks gives me enough grots) so you might want to buy some 6mm goblins(say from baccus or other company if you don't mind having spear armed goblins there. Mix them with official grot models to beef the numbers for example). Overall decent start though for ork force.

Welcome aboard, Lazarus.

As tneva said already, you have a good start for an Ork army. I see you have sprues to make a bunch Gunwagonz. Eventually you'll want to pick up some more and bigger stuff, but this should do for now.

I have been looking around ebay but some of the gear is a little over priced.

I am looking over the GW site at the moment at those pdfs, if this just a copy of the rule book?.

Those contains pretty much same as rulebook. Might be short of some non-important stuff(introduction text etc). Not sure.

You also need errata and you might want to look around for NetERC list modifications. These are unofficial but seems to be common enough in use.

And yeah ebay stuff can be horrendous. 30e for 3 tyranid biovechiles? Give me a break! OTOH I did pick up dominatrix bio-titan for <7£ including postage...Just keep an eye for bargains.

When it comes to ebay, you need to be patient. I once bought a MK I Gargant for only $10 US.

Should be there. Section 5 had IIRC unit stats and section 6 had the tournament scenario lists.

New Zealand!! But but that's where I'm from! Welcome Lazarus, whereabouts, probably North Island I'm guessing...?

We have a pretty active Epic scene in Christchurch. Two tournaments coming up, one in August, one in October. We use something called 'Epic Handbook 2008', but will be switching to a more updated version soon. Still Epic Handbook has all rules, lists etc in one file if you download it, and not too different to latest versions promoted here. Go to the South Island Wargaming Forum, and check out the Epic section.

Hello Guys

Got the models today i got heaps of troops here and only a few tanks so might need to add some in.

I am trying to make a list/sort out what i got.

I just need clarity on something. ( might be a dumb question but i dont have time to read all the rules yet )

Looking at a warband.

When it says two nobs and so on. does this mean two bases of 5men or 4 bases of 5 man.

is one nob classed as 10men, or 5men.

Quick reply would be good doing it right now.

Units are always clasified as a unit, represented by a base full of models, rather then a number of individual models.

So a basic warband is
2 bases full of nobs, 6 bases full of orks and 2 bases full of grots. The actual numbers of models on the bases is fairly irrelevant as long as its 3 or more.
