Well gave my Orks another run out over the weekend, two of my nasty formations were Big Blitz Brigades which contained 6 Flakwagons and 2 Supa Zzapp Guns. I played against Emperors Shadow's Guard with two Warhounds.

Unfortunately both formations managed to miss a Warhound and formation of Vultures in turn one and then preceeded to be broken for the next three turns only rallying at the end of turn 4 to save so victory points and result in a complete draw (1450pts each).

Conclusions: Yes this can be a nasty combination, but only when it hits and is unbroken.

Tim

I think that lousy armour combined with normal blastmarker rules, lousy initiative (and therefore when broken, stays broken) and smallish formation size balances greatly their great alphastrike capability.

Restricting Flaks has not, as far as I have seen, got much approval, which is good. Leave orks alone and go fix broken armies.

Oh yeah, if you want to restrict Flakwagon, then upgun it.

Luckily Finlands tournaments are not going to use these ork nerfings (flak restriction and odd pricerise), so I am quite indifferent about what you are going to do in other countries. But it is a shame that people are forced to play different Epic in different countries.

You're not forced to, you choose to.  And you guys have already been doing this for long enough anyway, as have the French. No biggy.
