Do I need Cult Marines (Khorne Berzerkes) to include Brass Scorpions or do I need just to have Khorne Berzerkers (e.g. as upgrade for Renegade Warband) ?

Hi. IJW and i took this for a spin earlier this week (me playing RCs). Game took on a streak of poor dice rolls from both of us which would have made Ginger blush, so not much to report from the game unfortunately. By the end of turn two i still hadn't manage to clear the (tiny) plague zombie formations IJW had rolled, and i was largely still in my deployment area. When my thawk terminators bounced off his blitz defending plague tower despite no AA i knew it was time for an early bath... :D

But couple of observations.

First - Terminators are listed as being able to take drop-pods. Is that intentional? If so they are not listed as transportable by the pods.

2nd - Lack of the specialist daemons seems reasonable, but stripping the infiltrating beasts out as well really seems like it might hamstring the engagement potential of warbands and hounds.

Going to give it a try again with a different approach as see how it goes...

also a quick clarification, @Blip, the drop pods entry for terminators is an error, the transportable units in the entries for the various transport options in the quickref do not include terminators for drop pods, I will remove the option from the list soon (currently correcting on armyforge)

Guys, would also like some test games played using Dave's suggestion about the drop pods, regardless of formation size, the cost is 50 points, take it away and have a play, let me know if you think it's overpowered, this may be a change we look to implement within the next 6 months so let's get some data on it

A quick question for others playing the list.

How is everyone finding the Silver towers?
I've had a few games with the list now and they've seen pretty lackluster.
Either dying really quickly or not doing much throughout the game.

What are everyone's thoughts on the unit and it's current stats or pricing? or amount of units for the cost?


Not trying to start an argument, just a nice discourse

I'm not so sure..... They may not be world beaters but you get a lot of shooting for your 250pts, with fearless, skimmer and INV to boot....

And if they were 250pts i wouldn't be complaining Kyuss......but they are 325pts for 4

If they are meant to be 250 i would love it to be updated in the pack ;)


The skimmer is good, but MW5+ goes to 6+ or 7+ if enemy unit is in cover when trying to perform pop up attacks :P

They appear to have gained 75pt from somewhere, between the 3.4.3 PDF in this thread and the list on the tp.net-Armageddon.org. Armyforge also shows 325pt instead of 250pt, but 325pt appears to be consistent with their cost elsewhere.

325pts is consistent with the LATD lists, but no-one seems to field them in any bat reps i can find and the only comments i can find anywhere has them as being lackluster to other choices compared to cost.

As this is the only "Approved" list with Silver towers I was kinf of hoping for a change so they could be a viable choice again

For what it's worth, they're used in a lot of EpicUK lists, either at 325pt or more recently 300pt. But I agree, 250pt makes them useful and 325pt makes them very unattractive as an option.

Can someone (kyussinchains?) say if the change was intentional or just a transcription error when adding them to the website and Armyforge?
