Hi

did an another battle today

So far based on what i have been able to use.
happy with the fact that i don't have to pay for Rhinos, unlike other lists.
The Defiler is pretty good.
Only been able to play for some of the units, because they get broken by opponent, which prove how well he know the list.

Will try to get more testing done.

One of my biggest gripes with chaos. Glad you pointed it out.

Khorne doesent pay for rhinos, but all other chaos lists do? what the heck. SM tac squad gets them and pretty good base unit for 300, while chaos is usually more expensive AND I have to pay 10 per rhino

CSM retinue - 8 stands including a character 275, 315 with 4 rhinos
SM tacticals - 6 stands plus 3 rhinos 275, 325 with a character

Adding to my point lol

SM have TSNKF, which is worth the whole 10 extra points if you even want a character, which you dont need as SM in each squad. The 8 stands break a lot easier then the SM.

Not really, point was that Chaos get a free character. That and the 2 extra stands makes up for the 3 rhinos and ATSKNF. Points difference was more pronounced before the unnecessary tactical point drop

as Steve said..

and.. with SM you have 3 units less than the CSM .. so each lost SM unit counts double. WE don't pay for rhinos because they are berserkers and no "normal" CSM.. less shooting and the need to get in base contact.

Having a play around with the list, and I wondering if it was intentional that the Terminators can't take Land Raiders. I know people hardly ever do it, but it seems a shame that people can't take it as a fluffier option if they want.

LoB has inv. save in the stigmatus covenant cultist army list. The points cost is 400 points.

In NetEA WE 3.7 and 3.8 and in the UK WE list he has no inv. save. The points cost is also 425 points in the NetEA list and 400 in the UK list.

So the question is, do he need the inv. save or not in a WE list.

i think it needs it.
fluffwise it's a deamon engine and at 400pts, close combatant with no shields it should really have the inv. save. as has the plague tower as well.
and if its just to give it at least a tiny chance of not getting pulverized vs. deathstrikes in one go.

maybe nerf it to initiative 2+ but back to 400pts.

I added the inv. save to the LoB to match the stigmatus covenant cultist army list. No other changes at point costs and initiative for the LoB.

mhmm.. the 2x AA 5+ on four assault engines look a bit op to me. its a very resilent forward aa screen. how do they fare in battle?

also there is a wording error with the possessed retinue, stating them having a "chaos pact".

They only have 1*AA5 at 30 cm range.. (AA only at gun engines)

I will fix that with the wording.. thanks.
