Idea is that list can be used to represent both Death Guard and traitor Nurgle Marines. I've looked at both previous ACs lists, the EUK list and ideas on the forums and taken what I hope are the best parts, its not my intention to try and follow the EUK list. Initiative 1+, Daemon Engines+Navy+spacecraft 2+, Strategy 4+ Implacable Advance: Nurgle armies are noted for their slow, ponderous and methodical advance. to represent this I have borrowed the necron rule - therefore no units can March. Summoning - as Black Legion List (including free daemon per pact purchased) CORE FORMATIONS Either Plague Marine Retinues or Nurgle Marine Retrinues can be selected not both PLAGUE MARINE RETINUE 1 Plague Lord and 7 Plague Marines 325pts Upgrades: All (except Nurgle havocs) OR NURGLE MARINE RETINUE 1 Plague Lord and 7 Nurgle CSM 275pts Upgrades: All (except Plague Ma ELITE FORMATIONS 1 may be selected per core formation - Nurgle terminators can only be selected if the core formations are Nurgle Marine Retinues, Death Shroud Terminators can only be selected if the core formations are Plague Marine retinues. I think the list should be renamed Death Guard, after all they typify the trudging nurgley horde, and have a cool name, surely nobody has an issue with the name of the army?? |

So there's no way to include regular Nurgle and Plague Marines in the same list? Is there a limit to the number of Plague Zombie formations, beyond the support formation restrictions? Cause I am quite liking the look of a Typhus led zombie horde force... [edit:] And no droppods? I will admit, I was getting keen on the idea of a few Plague Marine formations drop podding in following a zombie barrage, with terminators and zombies teleporting in to grab objectives/kills and tangle up enemy troops respectively.[/edit] |

I have nothing constructive to add, but … 3+RA INV terminators ![]() ![]() plague ship zombie barrage sounds like a fun idea. |

Oh nice I like where your heading with this list. Except for 1 thing, I think the 3+ RA terminators shouldn't have an invulnerable save as well. I know it's only 6+, but should probably be viewed from the point of an opponent. When you finaly get through that 3+ RA and the get your hit taken away, then it's not fun. 3+ RA is probably good enough to represent the nurgleness of them. The havocs and plague marines don't have an invulnerable save and they're also infantry. |

I suspect that, upon further contemplation, the 3+RA+Invun+Fearless make these terminators too good. They're very expensive, due to needing a plague marine formation each, but you can still easily fit 3 into a 3k list, 4 if you're willing to go all in, but they're also virtually unkillable. teleport them in and hold down objectives. maths shows that an even distribution takes on 10.8 hits to kill a single Death Shroud terminator so 43 hits to kill a formation (that is 3 hits more than an entire leman russ company btw) Add in Fearless, and their low number and easy break count wont matter much either. a 3k list can easily put 3 down onto objectives, add in daemons to bulk out numbers, kill whatever they landed next to, and then just sit there absorbing fire while the rest of the army makes itself useful/scarce as needed. I'd be looking at: 3 Plague Marine formations, 3 Death Shroud Formations, Each with 2 Grave Wardens, Daemonic Pact, and 1 with Icon (and/or SupCom) for BTS 2 Plague Zombie Formations, 1 Plague Ship, and 13 Plague Bearers. (or 12 with Supcom, or 10 with both) Admittedly, you've got an aggressive BTS formation and those Zombie formations arent the most survivable in the world, but once the Plagueship drops 3 more formations of them, you're looking at 11 activations, 3 of which can teleport into the perfect position, kill whatever comes close by, and generally just sit there and shrug off incoming fire like nothing else in the game. Seems a tough nut to crack. |

I agree that the terminators are a little too good. And as a future player of this list i don't say that just to slag lists i don't play. |

I like most stuff but the lack of AT on the Feral makes it a bit lackluster, it really needs something more in that regard. |

I assume Borka is refering to the Fester Titan and I agree with him on that issue. |
