Ok

Well the World Eaters are coming to a close and it will be in the hands of Apoc and eypyeash to really make the supplement shine.

My real interest however this year will be in a Chaos Squat force.

Now my thoughts are that it will be a small series of worlds (probably 3) where Khorne and Tzeentch have influence. As a foce I have the following in mind:

- Chaos Squats would not have the numbers of their brethren
- Slave races (Beastmen, humans) would have a part in the force
- There would be an option to take 1 squad of ork Freebooterz
- They would have access to a Cult retinue (most likley Khornates or World Eaters)
- Possibly the Daemon Engines (Support and/or Assault) would be present if not their own ones
- Berserker Dwarves would be an element of the list

These are just some mad ravings at the moment, but I may as well put it out there.

What other things could people offer for such a force?

What would you like to see that I have missed?

Wow!  This I like!  Would be quite a new approach to have a "slave race" included in an army... and would allow a player to mix things up with their models quite a bit.

I think this would be fantastically slick -- I just got a small amount of Chaos Squats, and I have left-over Beastman and Cultists from some Chaos sprues that I've been scratching my head trying to figure out what to do with them, and this is the answer I've been looking for!

Id be think carefully about ork slaves, as it might start to look a bit "warhammer in space" again, as Chaos Dwarves are allied to hobgoblins, so you'd have the same evil dwarves+ green skins.

Burrowing metallic worms sound great though, are there pics from the mod about? i found lots of forum threads relating to it but no pics as yet (didn't cheek all results tho)

Having said that im off to find my bag'o'chaos squats and see how many bases i can make

Let's see, I have about 20 stands of Chaos Squats and lots of Khornate machines. Sounds like a good start for a Chaos Squat army.

That could be kinda avoided by making Chaos Dwarves slavers in general. Have them be equal opportunity slavers. Anyone who'd rather work than die. So, humans, orcs, and all of the other abhumans.

Heck, even the daemon engines are slaves, bound to servitude. In a GrimDark™ world, forced servitude seems the norm, but slavery seems to have been removed. PC Police?

I liked the freebooterz idea, but that could work also.

I am still doing all the history searching at the moment. No rush at this stage.

+1 for Freebooterz over slaves.

Freebooterz have the opportunistic spirit to show up most anywhere.  With the "new" spore-based origin for Orks, you'd have to be off your flippin couch to consider them for a slave race.  Few months of enslaved Orks on a planet could earn you a horde of Ferals at your doorstep.

Ogryn slaves make far more sense imo.

There is also the angle that the chaos squats do not always resemble the same aspects of their Chaos Marine counterparts

Khorne worshippers may not all be angy savages seeking to spill blood themselves. they may be thrilled and worship through exhibitions of controlled pit fights etc and in line with Blood money.

There would also be others that wish to excel at the art of war in all it's forms to please Khorne.

Then again, there will always be the few nutters, but they do not have to be the majority...

I am not sure about the other cults, however it is something worth looking at methinks.

I actually meant i was against ork slaves   , but i like the idea of Chaos squats as  slavers in general - does the race of the slaves need to be defined to just one? Just say "slaves" and then people can model them with orks, beastmen, humans etc, i imagine the chaos squats would enslave whatever was nearby at the time.
