Post subject:  Where to find Defilers?

i was wondering what people were using as defiler models? Does anyone know where i can find suitable models/proxies or failing that a decent guide to converting them? They appear to bring quite a lot to the table and look pretty useful, but the lack of model (or anything that vaguely resembles one) is a bit of a problem. Please let me know.

PM Otterman on these boards. He can give you an easy guide to good looking Defilers.

I would think that if you see one you like, contact the person via PM to find out how they made them

I thought this was a fairly nice idea for a quick scratch-build.

That's cool! It looks fairly obvious it's a plastic Rhino Hull with Ork grabba claws (older plastic Gunwagons), and plastic Whirlwind missile tubes. But what's the turret? That doesn't look like a standard Whirlwind Turret. And the cannon?

I think it's an ork turret from the Battlewagon box as well.

Yep. Coach canalized quite a few of the Ork boxes to build those.

Thankyou to those that responded, it has simplified things consideraby. The Defiler conversion shown is particularily good. i've found conversions for Epic to be much trickier than for 40K ,6mm scale is not very forgiving of mistakes and parts are harder to come by ( my epic bits box is about 100 times smaller than my 40k one). Thanks again.
