Hi All

This appears to be the most contentious area of the revised list now that I have cut it down significantly.

It's a simple vote:

Should the Bloodgors exist in the World Eaters List?

(to be fair, like all my polls, I will not vote in the positive or negative)

Well i can see World Eaters hunting and breeding Bloodgors to use as cannonfodder to soak up incoming fire until the real warriors (= Berzerkers) can reac hhand-to-hand combat.
Off cours this is made up fluff

It is of course down to personal interpretation, but as a "Chaos Space Marines" list, I don't think Bloodgors (beastmen) fit into the World Eaters list comfortably

Same.

I'll ask it here again: Frogbear, why not broaden the scope of your army list from a "World Eaters Space Marine" list to a "Khornate War Horde"-type list; then you can include all the cool toys and bells-and-whistles without the "diluting the Marines" concerns?

It also opens the list up to broader appeal as it's not so limited to "just" World Eaters.

I like the idea of "just" World Eaters :)

I do to, but maybe this isn't the list for that limitation, as it seems Frogbear has put together a lot of "Khornate" units and stats, why not use them?

I just posted a suggestion for 2 lists in the other thread...

Let's chalk that up to "great minds think alike" and call it a day.

I voted to keep the gors, i think they add character (and possibly roughage). If they are being 'used' by this group of CSMs, why  not allow them in a CSM list?

However i would also be interested in a more general khornate horde list. Presumably the two would not be that different? A more general list would still allow people to make a WE list from it if they wished to.

Once a 'World Eaters' list is made and approved, then people can go sick with Khorne warbands all they like.

The game is not short on Khornate Warbands. LatD is one example, as is E&Cs and Zombo's Vraks lists.

Epic:A has long been without the 4 Cult Marine lists. I would at least like to get a World Eaters 'Marine' force approved before 'playiong' with the 101 other ideas that will stem from the split of the Legion after that.

Geez. Bloodgors are looking pretty slim there...  No one believes that in the Eye of Terror, WoEs would use Bloodgors for slaves....?  Hmph

Until you can dobbsy come to some agreement over sheperding different areas of the khorne lists, I can't see either of you getting netEA approved.

Zombo's is Khornate, mine is not

I am also in favor of a WE mariney list.

However, I would offer that instead of the forcing together of two fairly different perspectives on Khorne/WE, why not let "market driven" forces make the determination.

What does that mean?

Let both Dobbsy and Frogbear develop their lists and let the community play them. Then the community will decide which list works. I think a little competition is good.

And yes, I'm a nasty little capitalist.  :agree:

I posted this in a "Dobbsy" thread, so I'm going to post it here as well:

Actually, I'd say it's in the Army Champion's hands currently.

Personally, I'd like to see a third person take over and merge the best concepts of the various World Eaters lists to get a "core" list; using the ideas and experiences without the animosity and hard feelings.

The NetEA project is supposed to be about working together, in open fashion, to build lists as teams of players.  Yes there are "champions", and even rivalries, and egos do get in the way, but the spirit of the project is supposed to be a sense of community and co-operation, not a "*my* list is the bestest!" competition.
