I'm looking for an army list or lists to base my Chaos Space Marine on but can not seem to find a 'diffinative' list.

I like the look of the Red Corsare lists but would like to make it more alined.

I have started on my Death Guard(Nurgle) and would like to work on may be Word Bareres(Khorne) and then may be some of the other two arms of Chaos.

So anyone have any pointers?  I would like to compose a list for the TOEGs.

I'd say that you can theme the Black Legion list more to one specific God as you can take aligned Daemons instead of generic ones.

But then, that's the point of the Red Corsairs list, they haven't trod as far down the path of Chaos as the Black Legion list.

If you want to dedicate your army to one specific God however, I recommend checking out some of the alternative army lists, like Death Guard for Nurgle, World Eaters for Khorne, etc.

Im also struggling to work out which army list to use for TOEG for the same reasons. I think ive decided to try to make the core army work with both BL and red corsairs, and hopefully have enough additional units to field a smaller death guard or khorne force if desired, using those specialised units as proxies in BL/RC lists if needed (eg, blood slaughts would be used as defilers).

Why are death wheels and decimators not found in the red corsairs list? even if decimators are too old to be used be more recent traitors, other SHT based vehicles such as the plague reaper are presumably available?

Decimators and Deathwheels are represented (at least to me) as Black Legion only units.

And the Plaguereaper was subesequelntly shouted down because it doesn't fit into a raidings rmy like the Red Corsairs. And some guys think it is stats wise so identical to the Decimator so that it doesn't warrant stats of its own.

That said, the Plaguereaper is based off of the Baneblade chassis...according to the current fluff.

Jep. Replaces the Baneblade Battlecannon and coaxial Autocannon for a Pus Cannon which has the same stats as the Wh40k Inferno Gun (the Titan one not the Hellhound's Inferno Cannon)

I must admit im planning to use the red corsairs list as an up to date black legion list with all the fun stuff in one list, rather than specifically to represent more recent traitors.

If a force was favoured enough to be granted access to powerful daemon engines, a corrupted IG tank would seem like small change (even if true STC SHT hulls are very rare the plague reapers etc could be made from *fakes* or other SHTs like the mcharius) .
