Imperial Armour 6 features an army list based on the Vraksian Heretics having descended further into Khorne worship, so I decided to knock together a list to represent this. It's an interesting mix of guard and chaos; and I've included a few daemon engines for interest. I'll probably add the Blood Slaughterer to this once the stats are released.

Good to see, but why limit this to just Khorne? Be nice to be able to take a mix of Khorne and Nurgle troops IMO, or will they be added later?

Also: were Harbringers really used on Vraks? They seem a more rare specilaised deployment to me and I don't recall any mention of them.

The list in the Vraks book is a khorne themed one. Likely the next book will have nurgle options.

Harbingers aren't mentioned, but that's likely due to the lack of a 40k model. I've taken liberties in adding daemon engines too.

Thanks for the list by the way. Keep it going, I would be interested myself to see how this one pans out...

The Exalted and Renegade champions stats will push the cost of their companies up slightly.
The desciples may need to go up a few points after testing.
The Warlord has only got 6 DC and 4 void shields.

I'm not sure, they both lose something in return. The exalted has to ride a rhino instead of a chimera and has no autocannon, so that's 3 less ranged shots for the unit, and the champion also loses the autocannon. Meh, testing and all that.

Quite possibly.

Whoops!

The SC only loses  3 shots if the transport upgrade is taken, if not it gains better armour, much better CC and fearless for the loss of 1 autocannon shot.
If the RHQ with transport is OK at 500 I'd recommend charging 375  for the foot option and 125 for the transport upgrade ( but thats if testing shows any problems).

Keep the lists coming  :agree:

I am aware of this, and don't care :)

This is effectively a "Khorne Guard" list based roughly on the vraks campaign, in the same way that the offical Armageddon Steel Legion list isn't really a Steel Legion list at all.

I like the daemon engines so they'll be staying. It'd be a boring list without them, and it would make no sense that the "generic" LatD list gets khorne daemon engines but this one doesn't.

Consider them allies if you wish, or part of the chaos marine contingient of the list.

Going to update the list with vraks 3 info soon; Blood Slaughterer and possibly the Great Brass Scorpion.

Ok. So why not get it "right" and actually develop an armylist which really represents the army the armylist's name suggests?  :)
The Servants of Slaughter are a very specific Khorne Warband on Vraks. Your list is a more generic Khorne Warband (that was the Imperial Guard is to Space Marines).

I know that the LatD has DaemonEngines which i found very odd form the start. The Recently turned traitors get all the myriad god specific daemon engines and the millennia old Chaos Space Marines get only a few undedicated ones?  :disagree:
The official LatD armylist is more of a Daemonworld army (eg the one Angron lead to Armageddon) than a Chaos Cultist army.

The forces on Vraks did include daemon engines, just they were associated with the chaos marines instead. Wider picture, it's perfectly possible to view them as allies to the servants of slaughter, and they make the list a lot more interesting.

I may tie them in numbers to the chaos marine elements of the list in some way to satisfy fluff-fanatics, or possibly move them to the allies section, but they're not going from the list.

Note the 40k lists in the Vraks books, which note that while the Renegades didn't use super-heavies on Vraks, they're still allowed in the list. Consider this a similar case.

Yes the specific Renegates on Vraks didn't use super heavies but GENERALLY Renegades are allowed to use them.
To quote Vraks 1:
Quote:

On Vraks, the Renegates did not deploy Super-heavy detachments, although the stores may contain some large vehicles. Generally, Renegates have acsess to the following:
1-3 Gorgons
1-3 Baneblades, Shadowswords, Stormblades, Stormswords
1-3 Macharius

Vraks 2 says the same but adds 1-3 Malcadors (any variant) to the quoted part. Page 133 even shows a captured Shadowsword.
