Turn 1 No teleports. Strategy Roll: LatD The Deathwalkers advance, moving cover to cover, losing one of their members to a pothole, before opening fire on the hiding Blasta Gargant, stripping away a single power field. The Path of Light draws a bead on the same target, but are unable to sustain fire, they try again, but are still prevented from doing anything, as if a big green hand was holding them back. ?They rally and wait. With a crack of thunder, the Fist 'a Mork planetfalls out of the sky, right beside the Black Rock, glowing brightly from re-entry. ?Da Snap-Krakle-Koptas disgorge, engaging the nearby Turncoats. ?The Snappas make short work of the cultists, completely wiping them out! ?Two Kans and two Dreadnaughts are wrecked. The Blessed Sons call for help and are granted a Keeper of Secrets and two Daemonic Beasts, bolstered, the coven double forward, firing on Skattablasta to no effect. Skattablasta returns the favour, doubling forward to fire on the Blessed Sons? to no effect. The Changed double towards the recently arrived Snappa Mob, getting close, but unable to damage any of the Ork machines. Sitting in its shallow crater, the Fist a' Mork sustains fire on the Path of Light? to no effect. The Vile Sisters double rapidly forward and fire on Skattablasta? to no effect. Da Tankwreckas live up to their name, blasting apart on of the Daemon Knights, breaking the Deathwalkers, who hold their ground. Da Flyin' Hellgrots buzz in to strip two void shields from the Subjugator of the Vile Sisters. Rompa's Ride doubles forward to fire on the Vile Sisters? to no effect. Rok'm-Sok'm doubles on the Vile Sisters, blasting away with all its ranged weapons? to no effect. Both sqwadrons of Fighta-Bommas take a blast marker as they return to base. Rallies All formations rally.  |

Turn 2 No teleports. Strategy Roll: OGBM Da Snap-Krakle-Koptas whirl forward to engage the Path of Light, destroying three of the Daemon Engines and losing a single Deth Kopta? the Orks easily win the fight. Seeing their prey in easy reach the Vile Sisters begin to bicker over who gets to go first? and they keep bickering until they finally decide just to shoot at Rompa's Ride? stripping away 5 power fields. Skattablasta stands its ground and sustains fire on the Blessed Sons, dispersing a Daemonic Beast and killing a Cultist. Rompa tries to kick his Stompa into high gear, but kicks the wrong Grot, and winds up firing a weak salvo that strips a void shield from one of the Vile Sisters. The Blessed Sons call on more blessing and are rewarded with ten Daemonic Beasts, which all proceed to engage Rompa's Stompa! ?It is a bizarre fight as the Gargant crushes five Daemonic Beasts and one helpless Cultist underfoot, while sustaining 4 damaging hits which start two fires! ?Reduced to half strength, the Gargant is forced to withdraw, leaving jubilant Slaaneshi cultists behind. The Changed double back towards Skattablasta, firing to little effect. Da Tankbustas swoop in to fire on the celebrating Blessed Sons, but miss their mark completely. Da Flyin' Hellgrots are better shots as they kill two Mutants and a Big Mutant dampening the mood somewhat. Crashing its two mighty close combat weapons together Rok'm-Sok'm engages the Blessed Sons, who counter-charge into Skatta-Blasta! ?The once victorious cultist are utterly slaughtered, but not before they inflict a single hit on the Blasta Gargant, breaking it! The Fist 'a Mork doubles, without moving, to fire ineffectively on the Changed. One of ?Da Tankwreckas is shot down as they try to return to base, while Da Flyin' Hellgrots suffer only a single blast marker. Rallies Rompa's Stompa continues to burn, as one fire goes out? but another flares up, and it suffers another point of damage from the first fire, failing to rally, though all other Ork units succeed. ?For the remaining cultist, all rally except the Hellfire Cannons.  |

Strategy Roll: LatD The Vile Sisters come to an agreement and engage the Kustom Gargant, inflicting 5DC worth of damage and stripping it of Powerfields. ?Each of the Sisters suffers a point of damage, but the Daemon Titans win the fight. Da Snap-Krakle-Koptas clank over to engage the remaining Hellfire Cannon, wiping it out and claiming the Cultist Blitz and one Take-and-Hold objective. The Deathwalkers double forward to take the Ork Blitz and fire ineffectively on the broken Ork Gargant nearby. The Fist 'a Mork sustains fire on the Changed, scoring no hits. The Changed double back again, firing on the Snappa Mob and moving to contest the Take-and-Hold objective. Da Flyin' Hellgrots strafe the Deathwalkers, breaking them. While Da Tankwreckas fire on the Vile Sisters downing another Void Shield. Both sqwadrons suffer blast markers on the way out. Rallies Rompa's Stompa continues to burn, as one fire goes out? and yet another flares up! ?It suffers another point of damage from the first fire and fails to rally, along with the Kustom Gargant, though all other Ork units succeed. ?Inspired by the flames, all the Lost and the Damned forces remaining rally.  End of Turn: LatD 0 (none) vs OGBM 1 (Blitzkrieg) |

Turn 4 No teleports. Strategy Roll: OGBM Skattablasta sustains fire on the Changed, killing three Big Mutants and 1 regular Mutant. The Fist 'a Mork tries to do the same, but fails, laying a single blast marker on the Changed. The Vile Sisters leave the nearly wrecked Kustom Gargant behind and engage the burning Gargant, tearing it apart, though each of the Sisters again suffer a single damaging hit. The Deathwalkers marshall, and move to maintain security of the Ork Blitzkrieg. Da Tankwreckas strafe the Deathwalkers, placing a single blast marker. The Changed double closer to Da Snap-Krakle-Koptas, but their firing is sporadic and poorly aimed. Snapping and crackling, the Snappa Mob moves to engage the Changed, but they sorely underestimate the power of the cultists and are wiped out! Da Flyin' Hellgrots try to take out the Deathwalkers, but fail to score any hits, though the rain of fire breaks the Daemon Knights?  End of Turn: LatD 1 (BTS) vs OGBM 0 (none) Tie-breaker: LatD 1575 vs OGBM 1525 (EVEN CLOSER THAN LAST TIME!) |

Very interesting report. I don't know much about the LatD army, but it appeals to me more and more and I'll probably build one in the not too distant future (once I've finished my Necrons and Imperial Guard, that is...). Thanks! |
