For all you electronic packrats out there, I'm looking for flavor text to finish off the BL and L&D lists.  If you have electronic versions handy, please post them.  Otherwise, I'll be poring over old codeces and such trying to find text to type in by hand.  The items  without background are:

Demagogue
Daemon Prince
Arch Heretic
Plague Zombies
Questor and Subjugator
Hellfire Cannon
Defiler
All daemons in the lists (GD/LD for each faction, plus Beasts)

None of the BL units have background text, so I think I'm just going to skip it for simplicity's sake, with the exception of the Death Wheel and Decimator (if I can come up with some cool stuff).  I don't recall if there was actual text for those or just general descriptions, but if you have it, send it.

Also:
Flavor text for any of the appendix models (other daemons, mostly)

Does it have to be "official text"?

There is no background for Arch Heretic, I'm pretty sure, for example.

Do you want us to put together background text (i.e., make up) for such entries?

I think I've got the original article for the Slaanesh scout titans from WD somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it out and find some suitable fluff for you. Roughly how many words do you think is needed?

Also for the Hellfire: Would some of the old fluff for the Cannon of Khorne be ok (Removing the god specific references)?

None of the BL units have background text, so I think I'm just going to skip it for simplicity's sake,


I'd at least have a single sentance for each one, ie nothing more complicated than: "Berzerkers of Khorne - These warriors live only for the clash of arms, and the spilling of blood."

Just a general indicator of what they do in battle, rather than one of the mini-stories that tend to be the usual flavour text.

Pdfs are fine if they were created from documents, as opposed to scans.

I have plenty of hardcopy and scan material to draw from.  I'm just hoping that people have documents in a form I can cut/paste rather than typing it in by hand.

Hehehe. I think pirated sounds rather harsh since it is for a GW game. Which GW has done in house themselves many times :). But the fluff content in the L&D list is an edited version of stuff from epic 40k, WD and Space Marine 2 era stuff. There was a fair amount of background info given in WD many years back when each chaos faction got their deamon engines for Space Marine 2.

May I make one suggestion to add to the "Plague Zombies" text: that it include reference that these can also represent blood-crazed Khornate followers or drug-induced Slaaneshi madmen, or possessed Tzeentchi savants and not just rotting Nurgle Zombies?

As they now stand, they can be any faction, not just Nurgle, but that should be referred to in some way, not unlike the Banelord.
