Why do they need to function in the same way? Both are very different beasts and the Blight Drones are primarily a traitor guard units anyway.

As it turns out they're a CSM unit, Traitor Guard aren't allowed to take them outside of Apocalypse games.

It'S a CSM/Daemon unit. Traitor Guard can't take them.

Dropping the Phlegm just emphasies the similarity.

Why would you want it to be similar to a Land Speeder, instead of wanting it to propoerly represent what a Blight Drone actually is?

So in your view what IS a Blight Drone? To me it pretty looks (ok in a broad sense that it is a Skimmer and Fast too, not the actual physicala ppereance   )and behaves like a Space Marine Land Speeder.

Well, it's pretty much like the stats you've proposed, except it has some sort of short range battle cannon.

I asked what you see as it intended role on the battlefield.
It's role will determine if it needs another 30cm ranged shot (in addition to the  Twin Reaper Autocannon) or a short ranged weapon.

Its role is detirmined by whatever its stats are. :)

In this case it's some sort of fast, very shooty, light vehicle.

It'd have to cost a whack more than a Land Speeder too, with all the extra firepower and special rules. I'd prefer to see the lesser powerful vs AT targets battlecannon like weapon added.

Personally I'd make it speed 30cm too (perhaps even 25cm), the max of 35cm seems to zippy for a nurgle fly thing IMO.

With an armour value the same as a Chimera it isn't a light vehicle :)
Ok with the Phlegm "battlecannon" it is more of a Land Speeder Tornado.

For now it's 250pts for 5 Blight Drones. I guess this might change :)

The Chimera has a Save of 5+ in Epic. If i take in account that the Land Speeder is a Fast Skimmer in Wh40k and of comparable size (= relatively small compared to a tank like the Falcon) it could justify a Save of 3+  because of it's mobility  But i stick to 5+ instead.

Face it: The Blight Drone acts like a fly buzzing arround the battlefield spreading pestilence everywhere. It's a harassement unit not a tank killer.
All Epic vehicles which are Fast and Skimmers in Wh40k have a speed of 35cm in Epic. As a harassement unit (as the Land Speeder) Scout] is justified on the Blight Drone too.
ALL Daemon Engines in Epic have an Invulnerable Save and are Fearless. Not because to mimic some Wh40k rules but because to show its daemonic nature. So no choice to change it here.

About Blood Slaughterer:A run down on the blood slaughterer. It has rage, fleet, the rage of Khorne which gives it D£ attacks on the charge, 2 DCCW, and 3 attacks. Can swap one DCCW for the impale attack which counts as a shooting attack which is an absolute waste as you sacrifice a fleet move. it doesnt have a 12" charge

So this will rule out Infiltrators but a 20cm base move could be justified. Or should Infiltrators 15cm move stay?

Oooh

I am definitely interested in this answer as it will effect its role in an army list...

You could make an argument either way really, being as it does have the 'fleet' rule.

15cm with infiltrators would make it an interesting prosepect as a Garrisonable type unit.

Most "fleet" units are just 20cm move in epic, "beasts" usually translates to "infiltrators".
