Nice. But the Stormbird doesn't have this turbines. It is described as having foldable wings.

On page 1, and I agree, this was the first pic that was considered a Stormbird ... http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j23/L ... rd_001.jpg Before Abnett took literary license and described it otherwise ... ;D Note the turbines ... :o 8)

For the record...

That pic was from Codex Titanicus and it was of the Thunderbolt Dropship (which had stats and rules and all) used then by Space Marines.

Grand show L4, I was going for a similar approach - that is, same tilting turbofan idea, although with a different fuselage.

Thanks Boyz !! Yes, I know about the Thunderbolt, I have Codex Titanicus ... But IIRC that pic came out after CT ... The T/Bolt looks different. There was even a card board counter for it. I choose to use other models for the T-Bolt ... Image The bird in the lower left is the official limited release G/W Epic Dropship, came out came out after SM2/TL. I have 2 ... Most of the others are GZG. The Shuttle looking bird is from Bandai for their Gundum stuff. Image I added a few bitz to all of them ... ;D ImageGZG's BIG BIRD Image GZG's Little Birds Image Image Found this one floating abandoned near the Eye of Terror ... Image

By the Way ... Bob Naismith(he sculpts for DRM & E/W!) made a model of the Thunderbolt Dropship, for G/W but it was too expensive to produce. So G/W choose the card counter ... Here's Bob's T/bolt ... Note it does not look much like that pic that came out after CT ... But if you have the G/W card counter(and I do) ... it looks the same as Bob's model ... ;D

Hey L4,

I was thinking of doing some modification to this design and then looking at the CAD world to develop a working model for chaos armies to use. A lack of air portability is hampering my army. I will post some pics once I have a better idea of things.

Cheers
Aaron
