Meltas - Out of the plethora of complaints about the list, I don't recall hearing this one previously.  I have no problem with FF-only.  It takes Eldar Fire Dragons a full squad with every model highly specialized in meltaguns before it counts as MW. 2 out of 5 models doesn't qualify, imho.  However, if it does become common I don't have a direct objection, either.

Differentiating Bikes from Raptors - I'd like to see Bikes with more upgrade options and potentially larger formations, more like a "Retinue light" as compared to smaller Raptor formations.  Summoning kit is one way the bikes do that now, but with the summoning system as it is, there seems to be little incentive to make use of the Icon and summoning.

They had an MW FF attack for a while that was quickly pullled

This is a good idea but we don't have a lot of options that we could add to the Bikes that would make sense or be useful.

Raptors can take two assault weapons (plasma, melta, flamer) and crucially this doesn't reduce their assault capacity. This makes them a lot shootier than their loyalist counterparts.

I think the simplest thing is to leave them be! I don't think giving them bolt pistols and a FF of 4+ is a good idea at all, unless it were in addition to a special weapon.

Plasma guns is out because that has a profile.
Melta does seem a bit odd without MW (but I could live with it)
Flamer is a possibility.

We could give them

Chainswords (assault weapons)
Bolt Pistols (small arms)
Flamers (small arms) Ignore Cover.

That's a very minor change there, would necessitate a slight points increase but then we're doing that anyway. This would be a much neater and more "fluffy" datasheet - but this does feel like making more work for ourselves.

As can I really if no-one sees it being a problem

I'm not sure what the issue is here really. Call it "Special Weapons" or "Assault Weapons" or something.

The game did away with random weapon names some time ago and you may notice that the phrase "Assault Weapons" already has a specific use :-)

Give them Flamers with IC, sicne Jump troops can go into cover like Infantry that's a clear difference in their use compared to bikes.

And I still think Bikes ought to have a shooting attack, it would further separate the two units and be quite hand for striking from 85cm away.

Maybe make them worse than bikes for the presence of a small throw away formation, with them also made into an upgrade for infantry formations?
