Would it be possible/balanced to change the number of available support covens in the army to the following?

(You may take one Stigmatus Covenant Daemon Engine coven or up to two Traitor Support or Traitor Navy covens per Cultist coven chosen)

I just ask because, in general, the Traitor units are a lot less powerful than Daemon Engine covens... heck, unless I'm specifically trying to play a "Traitor Guard" army for fun, I never take Traitor Support.  I can just get more bang for my blood with Daemon Engines if I can only pick one per Cultist coven.

I only think of this now as I was wondering to myself why I never take Traitor support.

Hey Chroma,

Sorry it took a bit to respond to this.

I understand where you are coming from. ?Yes the traitor support as it is in the list is intentional. ?Way back when I pitched the idea of adding traitor units to the Lost and Damned list Jervis agreed but he had a few restrictions. ?Jervis wanted the army list to be a chaos list. ?He wanted the daemon engines and chaos creatures to be the core part of the list and the traitor stuff to be additional fringe so to speak. ?So the traitor support stuff is going to stay as it is for the tournament list. ?

If you want to be able to choose 2 traitor support covens per coven in your army then ask your fellow gamers if they think it is ok. ?It would let you design more of a traitor PDF army. ?Generally I do not think it would throw balance off much if any. ?Though picturing someone abusing it taking 4 covens and 8 basilisk batteries is rather scary.

Thanks for the answer!

I totally understand/appreciate Jervis's stance, and I tend to play the army as Chaos Cultist as opposed to Traitors anyway.  As the intent was to make Traitor units more rare, that's totally fine!
