Finally got them done. Opted for a simple scheme. Steel with a purple glaze over the armor plate. The close ups are kinda crap pics, I'll try and retake some this weekend.

The bases are a 3/16" washer, covered it with a sand textured resin paste from the local Hobby Lobby. Then painted with tan, washed with a reddish brown. It's been raining here the last few day so I haven't been able to seal them, I may put a few small spots of flock on the bases before I do that. |
