I've looked for IG replacements for quite some now. Seek it here, seek it there. Where are those darn pimp... replacements...?

Found DRM, ordered some jungle fighters and support teams.
Got happy, very happy indeed, and ordered two small army deals and set to work under the weekend. Finished most of them even.

Will DRM fit on Epic bases or do they only fit their own?

Looks good to me !!  When you said "SoW Appaisal" I thought you were referring to the SoW rules not the DRM minis ... :vo  :rock:  But in both cases, they are some of the best 6mm Sci-fi out there ! :agree:

Thank you. Always nice to hear after spending a full weekend painting. :O

Yes, the bases fit into a Ø6mm, usually. Ie some are slightly to big, but can be clipped easily enough

As for the look I'd say they are detailed as per Epic III plastic, but with more distinct lines. That is... They are better all around than GW offerings.

And price wise, unbeatable. Esp as the postage is a mere 15%/20% and 8 stands is £5.

I haven't ventured into actual playing the rules. But will return with a discussion of them as soon as that's done.

in fact Erik, they are so nice i've just been over to the Dark realm site and ordered myself some of their jungle troopers too!

Yes, as I continue to say, with G/W-S/G's support for Epic pretty much gone, DRM and Exodus Wars are the answer. Their models are as good as G/W's and most importantly are available and are expanding ranges ... Even if G/W was still supporting 6mm Sci-fi, I'd still buy DRM & E/W.  They are fully compatible with G/W, GZG, etc. minis too ... 8v)

It has actually grown rapidly. Two £25 starter armies and some extra has been painted up last week.
This is the Pax Arcadia with some extra jungle fighters (to be mounted in Cargo Heli) and extra Special Infantry.
The heavy support is also to be mounted in Hammerjacks and not Ramjacks to be able to really help out.
The Reg HQ is still not in place and there's still no snipers present.

And folks, if I seem silly at posting about these it's quite easy to understand once you get some to paint up. Bob Naismith has done another wonderful work here!

they arrived yesterday, very fast service from DRM i must say!

I'll get some on the painting desk tonight and hopefully get some finished over the weekend.
