Hi all, these are the guys I based and sprayed last on the '9th June' International paint day. No, this is not a new crazy colour scheme idea, just the undercoat... couldn't resist posting a pic of the command squad. Note that the less heavily armed Andrayad at the rear (2nd from right) comes from the Scout Andrayad blister - he's a scout squad leader reporting to his superiors.
The base is a bit of broken wooden blind slat, about twice the depth of an Epic base and very slightly thicker. these guys have loads of detail, as you can see.

Here's my second command squad. I'm afraid the mysterious, tall object behind the leader does not come with the DRM Andrayad troops blister....

I've assembled my 2nd blister of Scout Andrayads, but these come from my first lot - how's that for a firing squad? The blister contains 20 Andrayads (4 stands) , 5 each of four different models, as opposed to the troop blisters which have 40 each. ?

Nice looking minis, Van.
Now that you've worked with them, do you think DRM's minis will fit into the holes on the current Epic bases?

So - yes. All you have to do is remove a very small excess spot of metal on the base (probably a trace of casting sprue) and hey presto! The troops fit easily; the Scouts' bases are very slightly smaller, and of course fit even more easily.

Good to know for future reference!

I've just got my first DRM mini's and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the quality of both the sculpts and the casts, they are up there with the Forgeworld Tau I've got. This may be because the moulds are new but there isn't much flash, certainly much less than I'm used to, and the detail is very well defined. For around half the price of what I would have paid for equivalent GW models (which, incidentally, I don't think look as good) I have to say DRM are great value and I'll be looking at them first in future. It's almost a shame I'm off on holiday tomorrow and won't get a chance to get a brush to them for a while.

Primarch | In any other place than Epicomms that would be called a "denial of service attack"...
Thanks for the DRM pics, mr. enginseer. Pity I'm a bit low on cash at the moment; the final purchases for my 1:1 costruction project kind of emptied my bank account.

Hi all, here's my first stand of Andrayad warriors done. The base is different in colour to the one belonging to my previously posted Velite, so he'll be getting a base colour change retrofit. Not as good as Tuffskull's, of course, but I'm pleased with 'em.
