It's safe to say that as a ForgeWorld book, there will be massive ammounts of background info.

Glad you boys are keen.

For myself, I cant get excited.  There are plenty of other great rules sets out there that look better and a myriad of great models to use for far less.

 yep, that amongst others.  Interceptor was my favourite for smaller battles, SD is the best for Squadron stouches IMHO.  I'm thinking of doing a VSF version - 'thopters vs Balloons etc actually!

Yep - the RL universe had a couple of core games, Interceptor being the fighter combat game, Leviathan for Fleet Space Battles, Centurion the 6mm Companmy level games, Legionairre the RPG, and Prefect was the Strategic (whole Solar System) game

Phalanx of Blood was a Squad level comat game that never got released, Legatus was a Brigade/Battalion level game that didnt get to playtest ing as far as I know

Awesome game series.  Very detailed.  Sadly went down with the demise of FASA and depite Crunchy Frog enterprises efforts to keep it going, they didnt.

I am so weak.  :glare:

I ordered my copy as well. I did manage to hold off from buying any minis though - the fact that you dont get a postage break for larger orders means that I am happy to wait for a while and make more, smaller orders.

I have plans to put together Chaos and Ork forces specifically for this game.
