Hi folks, it's the information gatherer again...

Anyone up for pics for size comparision between GW and FW epic flyers?

If possible also with Crimson Skies FASA and WizKid...  8v)

Cheers
Erik

And here's the pic I was after, courtesy of Cuban Commissar and another thread on the subject:
That apparently didn't work, to link to an uploaded picture. But it's in the Ork Bomma thread. Thanks to Cuban Commissar!

Yep, that says it all ! And the same goes for their AFVs. F/W's SHT IG are Bigger than G/W's ...  G/W's Russes are Bigger then F/W's  ...    Go figure ...

The FW Leman Russ tanks are a different pattern.

Isn't it normally the case that Tank crews would benefit if they were... shorter of stature than the average height? I don't know if this is required in modern tanks but I bet there are examples throughout WWII.

I really like the Aeronautica Imperialis Nightwing mini. Purty!

Forgeworld have a policy with their epic models to make them exactly 1/5 the size of the 40k equivilent, though the titans don't match this. The SG superheavies and flyers are all significantly undersized scale wise.

Yes, I know of F/W's policy ... it almost makes sense ...  And I've been in and around a lot of AFVs when I was in the Army '79-'90, as well as WWII AFVs at museums, etc. ...  Most WWII AFVs are smaller then modern and many modern are a little more "roomy" ...  But in both cases, being short is an advantage ...  Soviet and Chinese AFVs are well known for their "compact" crew stations. I've been in some, and experienced it first hand ...   Plus today's human is a little larger then the average WWII era human.

Hm... I got a Brabham 1/300, and it's exactly that.
Compared to an Epic vehicleit's half the size...

Out of interest I take it the F/W Ork Bombers are grossly big  for Epic or is it something you can turn a blind eye to?
